My daughter is turning 1 in July! My home is not big enough to host a lot of people, so I was thinking about having the party at a local park! Something with partial shade and restrooms! Hoping it can be somewhere central in San Diego! Does anyone have suggestions?? I have no idea where I should have it at! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

Hello, When our grown children were young, we used the Allied Gardens Recreation Center for fun. It has a playground and bathroom facilities. I don't know what the tree situation is anymore since we haven't been there for a while, but it used to have plenty of trees. It is located off of Waring Road on Greenbriar Avenue. Also, in the east county between Santee and Lakeside there is a wonderful park. It is off of Woodside Avenue on Shadow Hill (I think is is Drive). The park is called Shadow Hill Park. It has bathroom facilities (which are cleaned daily) grass, gazebo and nice playground. There is also a basketball court and tennis courts as well as a hiking trail.
Good luck with your precious child.

Dusty Rhodes Park in Ocean Beach is a good location. It is at the end of the end on Sunset Cliffs Blvd.
It is convienient for bbq'ing, has a playground and has plenty of room for multiple people. I've also seen people rent the blow up jumpies for kids to play in. Good Luck!

Hi T.,

Hilton Head Park in Rancho San Diego just remodeled their park. They have two play areas, a splash pad where the kids can get wet, covered pavillions, and restrooms. The pavillions are first come. There's also Playtown in El Cajon across from Parkway Plaza. Java Mama's in La Mesa also rents out their place for parties. Have a great party!

Old Poway Park in Poway. It has a lot of shade and a fun train ride the kids can go on. We did my son's 1st and 2nd b-day party there - everyone loved it! Good luck and have fun! :)

Hey there!
We searched the parks and recreations for the districts. We lived in El Cajon but loved black mountain park. It was $20 to reserve the gazebo and we could decorate it and everything!

Good luck and enjoy the celebrations!!
