I am a single woman on an adoption waiting list for a baby girl. I'm 47 and after much heartbreak of not meeting Mr. Right five years ago I decided to become a parent on my own. "My Princess Boy" and "What Would You Do"...

I have a little girl (two actually) that are 1/2 princess, 1/2 tomboy. My 3 y/o has an iron man mask, pirate costumes, police costumes, as well as princess and fairy costumes. I have no issue with her playing with trucks or trains or cars. I seriously cannot understand why it's so "unheard" of to have boys play house or barbies. How many of you moms would be weirded out if your boy would be intersested in this kind of play? I have no boys yet, but my hubby agrees with me.

Princess Dress for a Princess Party

My 7-year old is turning 8 and is having a "Princess Party" at our house. When she first described the idea of having a Princess Party she described the dress she wanted me to buy her (a long blue dress with diamonds on it). I ignored the dress request and we focused on planning the decorations, games and who to invite.
