My 4 Year Old Won't Stop Sucking on His Clothes/hands

My son is 4 1/2 and has recently started sucking on his shirts, jackets, and hands constantly. Today he went through 3 shirts before finally making him go bareback for the evening. I've tried giving him other things, like sugarless gum as his teacher suggested, to keep his mouth occupied, but he swallows it. Other than redirection and partial nudity, any suggestions on how to get this to stop, and ideas on why he's doing it? He's always been a thumb sucker, but not a constant sucker, and this has gotten way out of control.

Excema = Allergy?

Does Excema ALWAYS mean there is an allergy? My son is 6 months old and has had bad excema since about 2 months. Under my ped's advice, I use Cortisone and Aquaphor, but it's still there. It is getting a little better but nonetheless, it's still there. I don't know if it could be a milk allergy, or dust allergy. Could he develop asthma because of this? I question my ped all the time and he just says "Awww don't worry about it. If he's eating, sleeping, and playing, then he's fine." But as a Mom I am concerned. Help Mamasource! :)

Bad Toddler Diaper Rash

My daughter has had the worse diaper rash off and on for over a month. I called the pediatrician and spoke to the nurse twice and do what she says, then it gets better for awhile and comes back worse. The first time we thought it was a yeast infection so we treated it by not using wipes, and using lotrimen followed with cornstarch, and making sure it was very dry. It got better, but came back again, this time with no bumpy rash, so I started using triple paste (very thick) and medicated cornstarch which made it better for awhile. But it...

And if it is eczema how do you treat a baby?? thanks moms:)
