Infant with Kidney Stones

I was just wondering if any of you moms have dealt with this or are dealing with an infant with kidney stones? My 6 1/2 month old son has kidney stones and we also just recently found out he was born with only one kidney. We dont know why he has the stones. He has gone to the childrens hospital in Pittsburgh for urine and blood tests and hopefully we will find out March 3rd what is causing the stones. It could either be something in his blood (which would be ok because they can be treated with meds) or a certain condition which would mean...

Shouldn't a 18 Month Old Sleep Through the Night?

Ever since my 18 month old daughter started eating baby food it's been a nightmare to feed her. Now that she's 18 months old and she had 12 teeth I can't find anything that she'll eat. Every meal ends with a possible of 8-10 different foods that I have tried to get her to eat but she refuses after 1-2 bites. Since she has a good amount of teeth I've tried finger foods which quickly go over board one by one by her little pinchers, I feed her what we are having, and at the last resort I try toddler baby food which she 99% of the time turns...

Constipated 4 Month Old

My girlfriend's son is 4 months old and is breastfed. He has been severely constipated for most of his life. The doctor told her to give him 2 oz. of water every day and also to cover a thermometer with vaseline and give him an enema. I wanted to climb on here and ask our fellow mommies what they have done for their little ones in similar situations. Any advice, i'm not sure who I feel more sorry for, mommy or baby! ps....she tried giving him corn syrup mixed with breastmilk, which seemed to work for a couple of days, then the doc...

Diarrhea - What to Do

Hi- My daughter is 10 months old and has diarrhea ever since we were at the doctors office for her check-up a week and a half ago. She did not receive any vaccines however, she did receive her first dose of the flu shot. She has no other signs of being sick, ie; no fever, still eating well and over all good spirits. I am not sure what to do. She is eating table food in addition to being breast fed four times a day. Any suggestions about what to do would be great. Thank you!!
