Weight Loss Pills
I'm wondering if anyone has tried Alli weight loss system. I would like my husband to try it and was happy to hear it is approved by the FDA.

Unless you completely change your diet I would advise against alli. One of the major side effects is anal seepage...if you eat a lot of fat in the diet your constantly going poo, not just that you have to run to the bathroom, that it actually just drips.
I used the weighdown diet and then now I am going to go back on it again. I started gaining weight after coming back to America from Papua New Guinea and Australia....we have a ton more refined unhealthy food here....and then had my 3 babies. So I put on some weight and in order to be able to get a tummy tuck I need to lose some weight so I am going to start that again today. Try this one first and then go from there. There is not pills to take and you don't "diet" you just change your lifestyle and the weight falls off. (At one point I was losing 5 pounds or more a week).

I've never tried it, but a couple of my co-workers did. Anyone going on this pill needs to be careful of eating anything with fat in it, because it will come out the other end. One of the ladies taking the pill said she was walking her dog and had to run back to the house before she messed herself. Since a person taking the pill needs to alter their diet, why not just alter your diet and not take the pill?

If he has all day to spend in the bathroom, it's great. I found it did not work very well, and the diet restrictions are strong. The very best for weight loss is weight watchers, eat anything in proper portions. Works great for working husbands, and stay at home moms.

I take alli. It is no miracle pill, but it has helped me to make the right choices. You do need to avoid fat. The fear of side effects of eating fat is motivation to avoid it. I need all the help I can get. I had some of the side effects at the start, but I haven't had any lately, my body has adjusted well. I have only lost 10 pounds, but I take weekends off. I do work out 6 days a week. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

I am currently on Alli. It basically is just a fat blocker. The way the program runs is that you get a set number of grams of fat per meal (around 15-18). You need to follow this or you have unpleasant side effects. You also get a certain number of calories. The starter kit is a great idea. It gives you meal ideas, fast food options and an online membership to keep you on track. I was on it for 2 weeks and dropped 12 lbs. If you have any questions feel free to message me!

Hi J..
I don't know much about Alli, but I do know that just because something is FDA approved, does not always make it safe. That being said, I think the "proper" way is eathing healthy and having a healthy (exercising) lifestyle. I went to a hypnotherapist who also helped me put those thoughts in my head to eat healthier, etc. I lost 30 pounds and still losing. You might want to give it a try. His name is James and he can be reached at ###-###-#### or ____@____.com
Good luck to you... I know it's a battle.
