Tooth Arrival?

I Kind of have a funny question? Or maybe I am asking if this is normal/has it happened to any of your children? My son is now 10.5 months old he got his 2 bottom center teeth a few days before he was 7 months old a couple of days apart, Which was ok or normal should I say?…but now he seems to be cutting his first top tooth. But this is where I think it is weird…it is not one of his middle 2 top teeth. It is either one of the ones next to that or maybe even possibly the K-9 tooth it is so far to the side? His 2 middle teeth are defiantly swollen but you can actually see this tooth which is very off to the side, but it has not broken threw yet…from what I saw/remember with the first 2 bottom teeth…I think it is probably a day or 2 from cutting threw. So I’m just wondering has anyone else experienced this???

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

First of thank you all so much for the reassurance I needed….Nice to hear he’s not alone! Well the last couple of days he has been a total bear (but no fever) and this morning he screamed threw what should have been his morning nap. So the little mom voice said take him to the Ped. He was pulling at his ear as well for a couple of days but I just figured oh it is just his teeth. Well he has a ear infection and he is cutting 4 top teeth the middle 2 and the 2 to the right of them…still odd…but hey the quicker the better…But again thank you all for the kind words!!!

That happened to my first daughter. Her two bottom teeth came in and then the two side teeth next to her front teeth..It was cute, she looked like a little vampire.. doctor said it happens very rarely.. but it does happen.. and is totally normal.

my little guy is on exactly the same schedule as yours! got his first bottom 2 just before 8 months and today (his 11 month bday) he is the proud owner of 2 top fangs :) we love his little vampire smile! and yes, it is unusual, but not crazily out of the ordinary. enjoy his individuality!

M.,

Teeth don't come in at any set pattern. It just depends on what is ready and when. My oldest son cut 4 top teeth then two bottom and then the two bottom center. And then with my two youngest boys it pretty much went bottom to top and what was ready at the time. I wouldn't worry about it. Unless you see a lot of redness or puss of think that there is something really wrong there really isn't anything to worry about.

Hi M.,
My daughter also developed her teeth that way, kind of like Dracula-just kidding. Get lots of pictures!
