I can't afford my local Bakery for my son's birthday cake. Has anyone ever ordered a cake from Stater Brothers? Are their cakes any good? The prices are very affordable.

My friend got me a beautiful cupcake cake from Staters that she loved..me not so much. I liked the Albertson's cupcake one better. Can't recall tasting a regular cake from them. Try a sample? Don't worry about not affording a bakery. Most people I know get store bought! :-)

Hello M.,
I have not order a cake from Stater Bros. but on halloween someone brought a few halloween cakes that were premade to my halloween party and everybody loved them I didn't even get a piece. My sister said it was nice and fluffy with whip cream topping. Go test one out they are about $3 or $4 and see if you like the cake. They should have abunch sitting iut for thanksgiving.
P.S. If you don't like the cake go to Albertsons and order their cupcakes with the whip cream topping they are wonderful and you get 20 cupcakes for $11.99
Good Luck

Costco and Vons/Pavillions make great cakes - but here is a better idea: the kids never eat much - I have switched from cakes to Cupcakes! They are much less expensive, and Vons makes great ones! You'll find the adults like it too - no knives needed to cut - quick and easy. You can also find inexpensive decorating items from a party store to stick on each cupcake.

Sams club and costco are much cheaper for more cake, if you have membership.

We just had a 2 yr birthday party for my son and bought Ralphs cupcakes as well as Costco cupcakes. I wanted the Ralphs cupcakes because they were the only bakery that had train theme (in this case, "Thomas") decorations. I usually really like Costco sheet cakes, but the Ralphs cupcakes were actually much tastier than the Costco cupcakes and were a more manageable size for children. Kids don't eat much except the icing, and the Ralphs icing was really tasty and not overly sweet (we bought 1 doz each of chocolate (with cookies n cream icing), vanilla (cookies n cream icing) and red velvet (cream cheese icing) cupcakes at $7.99 each). We had several parents ask afterward where we bought the cupcakes. Not sure if all Ralphs use the same bakery recipes, but the one in El Segundo did a great job.

I've had great success with Stater Bros. cakes and I've purchased quite a few. I had one instance several years ago when the Bavarian creme they had went bad, but they fully compensated me and then some to ensure satisfaction. I've had issues with the fancier bakeries too and without such the great response. In short, I would strongly recommend Stater Bros. cakes! YUM!

I have not tried Stater Brothers but I have ordered from Albertsons and they do a great job for a good price. The cake tasted great and they have lots to choose from, you can even bring in a picture and they will copy it and put it on the cake. Good luck!

I have never had Stater Bros Cakes, but Costco's cakes are great and they are only $16.99 for a full sheet. The only problem is they do not have themed cakes. Sam's also has good cakes and they have more options for themed cakes.

I ordered from Stater Bros. for my son's bday....I had his baby picture printed on the cake and it was pretty tasty. Rec'd compliments.

Have you also checked Albertson's...they have really good cakes too. Even Costco has some pretty good cakes as well.

Staters Brothers and Albertsons make great cakes. They make them fresh daily. They have professional bakers, professional decorators. Oh and you might even talk to the bakery person at your local Stater Brothers. Tell them you have never bought a cake there...ask them about options and sometimes you can even sample a piece. With tough ecomonic times I find myself shopping store brands. I shop at Stater Brothers too!! I have saved so much money and could really just kick myself for not trying store brands sooner. Not everything is the same but many products are just as good as the name brand.

I have not had one, but have heard they are good. I am not sure if you have a Costco membership or know anyone with one. But their cakes are great and very inexpensive.
