Has anyone ever had spotting for over a month and gone to the Dr. and them tell you all test came back fine? I am going on 5 weeks now and it's really annoyig. I am getting hormone headaches and everything almost daily just as if I was on my period. I went to my GYN dr she did blood, pelvic exam and biopcy of my uterus. They said iron lvls fine, hormone lvls fine thyroid looked fine and the biopcy came back clear. She put me on progeterom pills to take everyday. They said if it has not gotten better when they are gone to come back for a pelvic ultrasound. It's been a week now on the meds and I have not noticed it lessening. I have noticed some days heavier than they had been. Has anyone gone through this before and what did you do? I am really tired of all this. It zaps what energy I have. I am just wanting to know if anyone else has gone through it and what came of it. I know no one can tell me what exactly is wrong.

Add: I had my tubes tied over 11 years ago. and I can take the pill they make me sick. Sorry I forgot to put that.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I went back to the dr and she attempted to do an ablation and a dnc at the end of December. Unfortunatly the machine would not let her to the ablation there was something wrong in my uterus it said and would not continure. So had just the dnc done. She said she looked and I had a lot of scaring from my c sections and from my cyst and left overy being removed. The spotting is not every day now but is every few days. I go back for another visit in a week hopefully and we will discuss my options and pretty sure a partial hystorectomy is in my not so distant future. Hoping to put it off a year or two.

I would definitely go back to the doctor. If you are not satisfied, get another one for a second opinion.

Spotting like this for the amount of time is not normal. Perhaps you are going into menopause. But do get it checked out.

I spotted something like this and the doctor gave me a shot. My period stopped for about three weeks and came back. I was scheduled for a hysterectomy. The doctor said I looked much better after surgery than I did before surgery.

Do get it checked out.

I don't think we can answer this one. Your Dr said to come back if it wasn't better - it's not better so please go back ASAP.

Yes I've been through the same hell for like 3 months. I finally went to see a different gyne he did an exploratory laparoscopy and found that I had adenomyosis. No cure for it right now because its mild, but I did get back on OC's and it has stopped. I'd suggest a second opinion??? Good luck I know it's frustrating. Maybe try a low dose pill??

This happened to my once when I was on birth control pills. The doctor said that that specific pill was not the right combination for me and he changed brands. I had to wait until my cycle to change over. When I did change the bleeding stopped.

You don't mention if you are on the pill, pregnant, etc. That information would be useful.

If it has been over a week, go back to the doctor. If you are having to change your pad or tampon more than once and hour, go back to your doctor or the ER.
