After countless recos on NPN's discussion board, we went to Dr. Mary Tierney DDS. She's at 4700 North Western Avenue

It's no surprise that she's a fave amongst parents on the northside. Her facility is clean, her staff is sweet, and she's wonderfully understanding with your child.

There is a wonderful pediatric dentist in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. Her name is Mary Tierney and her practice is in the commercial space of the 4700 N. Western Ave. building at the corner of Western and Leland (kitty corner from the Western brown line L stop). I would highly recommend her - she definitely caters to cowards ;) ###-###-####.

I can highly recommend City Smiles. Both dentists are terrific with children. The office staff is friendly and helpful. I've been going to Dr. Simon since 1985 and now my children go to him. They're at 3800 Pulaski (just south of Irving Park) ###-###-####.

We go to Toothfairy World at 2069 N Clybourn Ave. There are 2 dentists--Marylene Vitiello has been there the longest and we've seen her the most. I can't remember the name of the other one but we've seen them both and they're both good. They're quick and careful and there are tvs playing kids' videos above the chairs so the kids are a little more distracted when they're poking around in their mouths. Both my girls like them. Hi there! We just took our daughter who is 3 to her first dentist appt last week. Brushin on Belmont at Belmont and Damen and saw Dr. Robert Govoni. He was wonderful with our daughter, explained everything before he did it, ect. The office is beautiful and there is even a tv with kids stuff on to watch while work is being done. Hi there-- Don't know how close you are to Arlington Heights, but my 8 and 10 yr old have been going to "All About Kids Dentistry" on Rand Rd. It's in the Village Bank Building, 2nd floor. Dr. Urisiti (may have spelled wrong) Really like her and her staff. We moved here 1 1/2 yrs ago so that's how long we've known her. They are also next door to a FAB adult dentist "Arlington Adult Dentistry" (I see Dr. Chapek) I'm a chronic dentist phobe, and he has gotten me over it -- he's wonderful and so is ALL his staff.

Our family loves Dr. Denise McAllister. Her and her staff are superb with children. My kids love going to the dentist. It's a fun happy place.

Mary Hayes or Jane Oppenheimer share an office. I am unable to locate my cell phone, however, they are on Chicago Ave, 161 East Chicago ave sharing the building with Neiman Marcus.
It is a practice designed around making children happy and feeling welcome. I am with Dr. Oppenheimer and friends are with Dr. Hayes. Whom ever you choose they are wonderful for the young.

If you're willing to drive to Evanston, Dr. Maria Simon of North Shore Dentistry for Children ###-###-####) is wonderful.

I recommend Dr. A. Tereau Pearson. Her practice is called "Holistic Dental and Wellness Center." Her address is 1964 W. Dempster, in Evanston, just north of Chicago, and her office is in a mini-mall, so there is lots of easy parking. Her website address is www.HolisticDentalServices.com and here's how she describes her services..."Holistic Dental Care, utilizing Dental Bio Compatibility and including but not limited to basic fillings, crown and bridge work, dentures and partials dentures, non-surgical gum therapy, children's dental care, and adult and children's braces. K., check this office. They are really great, all of them. My son had real problems when he was 2, and we are going to them for three years now. And this is true, no one cries in their office. Good luck.

The office staff were great and my son who was 2 at the time was having a rough time with transitions--we had just moved from California--and being left places without my husband or myself (ie. nursery, preschool, etc.). He went to the back without me and they were able to take x-rays, clean his teeth, and floss! I was pleasantly surprised. He came out excited to show me his new toothbrush.

One note: the parents stay in the waiting room. I've talked with friends who come from dentist families and they agree that this policy is really wise. Initially it may seem really tough but in the long run it's good.

Not in Chicago but close, an awesome dentist and fabulous staff and office. My daughter loves them, she is 5 and has been going there for 2-1/2 years. They have cool fun murals on the walls, TV's with DVD's, the nicest dentist, hygentist, and office staff. I have never had any billing issues and I have referred my cousin who does not have dental insurance and they allow her to make payments.

I can recomend him to everyone who has children with cavity problem. After seeing three different dentists my daughter got so anxious about any procedure. The only doctor Resnick and his wonderful and very professional team helped to save my child teeth.Every visit was a pleasure.They are all very friendly and very caring.I did not have any insurance plan but they helped me as much as possible with discounts and payment plan. I am so happy to have so wonderful dentist for my child. My pediatrician also started to recomend this dentist. I found dr Resnick by referal given me from one of his patient's mother also very glad to have this high quality dental care.
The office is also outstanding in great decoration, desighn and atmosphere.

I am looking for one as well let me know if you find one. Thank you a single mom of a 3 year old lil gal.

Dr. Ray Jurado is absolutely wonderful. Also Dr. Reena Shah, who is terrific, too. I work with them at Children's Memorial Hospital, and also my son (who is 3) sees Dr. Jurado - he LOVES going to the dentist!

Northshore Dentistry for Children is wonderful. We have been going there with our 4 year old son for over a year (he also had a cavity that needed tending to!). They are always very quick, very sensitive to his feelings/fears, and always have time for questions.

Dr. Thomas Cratin in Hinsdale is fantastic. Very smart and very nice and good with kids.

City Kids Dental in Lincoln Square is where I take my little ones. Dr. Mary (the only dentist there) is very very gentle and kind with the kids and they loved their visit there! I highly recommend it.

LOVE THE STAFF AND THE OFFICE IS LIKE A KIDS DREAM!

We are taking our 2 year old to see Dr. Vargas at Kids Plus Pediatric Dentistry‎ on 2222 W Division St # 130, ###-###-####. We haven't seen Dr. Vargas yet, but she is a friend of a friend of mine and is really young & nice.
