Looking for Pediatric Dentist Downtown Chicago
We recently moved here from CA and it is time to bring the kids in for their dentist check ups. We had a wonderful pediatric dentist out in CA with a fun waiting room (full of books, computer games, toys) and then they had movies to watch while they were in the dentist chair. I feel this really put them at ease and they actually like going to the dentist. Does anyone know if there is a similar place like that either downtown Chicago or even Lincoln Park area? I appreciate all the suggestions. Thanks.

Look at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry web site at www.aapd.org. They have a doctor finder area. I do have some recomendations though in the downtown LP area -good luck!

I can't say enough good things about Dr Joanne Oppenheim. I have been taking my 4 yr old to see her since she was 2 - and she loves Dr Joanne. The entire staff is great.

I love City Kids Dental, on Western, in Lincoln Square. She is so fabulous with kids and has many years experience with pediatrics. Dr Tierney (sp?)puts the kids at ease instantly with her personality. She has a bookshelf, art supplies and toys in the waiting room, with DVDs on the ceiling for the kids to watch while having their teeth worked on. My kids were very nervous and she worked magic. They are looking forward to their next visit!

Another rec for City Kids Dental/Dr. Mary Tierney! Great office, plus we've only once waited more than 5 minutes (and that was due, from what we could gather, to a child with a LOT of caries)

I'm a nurse at Children's Memorial Hospital in Lincoln Park, and all of the dentists affiliated with the hospital are wonderful. The office is located at 467 W Deming (Clark and Deming).

Dr. Marvin Berman's office is exactly what you described. He's a bit out of your way in Sauganash but well worth the trip. Good luck!
