You can get information by state of the cutoff dates to register (and links!) as well as polling places nearby, early voting, even the ballot measures. It's great!

You should be able to go to the local Registrar Of Voters office or website for information. In CA the deadline is 15 days before the election, 10-20-08

My daughter just registered and I was looking at her paperwork and if I remember correctly I believe you have to be registered 2 or 4 weeks before the election. Hope this helps. here is a website www.shapethefuture.org Hope this helps..
