I live in Sherman Oaks and have a financial situation similar to yours. I work as a freelance producer but I have a new baby and my husband has work that fluctuates. I recently started a stay at home business that one of my good friends shared with me. She is making an extra 3k a month for her family and expects it be up to about 7k a month by the end of the year. I'm just get started myself but I see a lot of potential in it. I also know that there are several other realtors and mortgage brokers who are having big successes with it so it may be right up your alley.

Not sure how close this is to you but Biola is in Whittier and has a psychology graduate program called Rosemead; their advanced interns (in their doctoral program) provide counseling services at a reduced rate.

The center for individual and family therapy (CIFT) has wonderful christian counselors. Find them on the web.... Have you asked your church? We have lay pastors on staff at our church that can offer counseling, also referals to professional psychologist and psychiatrists. As far as home business, a friend of mine is doing "the three step plan". I have no idea what it is, but she's very enthusiastic about it... something else you'll have to google to get more info.

Turning Point Christian Counseling is a good Christian counseling place to start with. They are in the L.A. area and also other areas. You can look them up on the web.

There is a program in the state of calif called in home supportive services, you son might be eligable for this, if your income is unstable what the state does is comensate you for taking care of the child or family member who is disabled, now a days ADHD is considered being disabled. They do pay you $ 9.00 an hr, based upon a consultation a worker comes to you , make sure he has doctors diagnoised paper work to back this up. You can look in your local phone book for the 800 # to call and make an appt. This will help supplement your income.

Try calling Biola College and ask for Rosemead Clinic. They should be able to help you find a Christian therapist. They are relatively close to you also.
