First I will ask the required question. Can anyone recommend any new products (make up, kitchen, whatever) that have come on the market lately?

I found a very cool new mascara. It's by Younique. You first put on a thin layer of any mascara. Then you put on a coat of the Younique gel. Then in a separate tube, there are balck fibers. You brush them on and they look like extensions! It really gives your lashes a boost!

Not selling anything - just passing it on!

Kaplan MD Beverly Hills essential oils. I had a facial in the beginning of May and she used this product and I LOVE it. I use it morning and night right after I wash my face. You can use it on your skin and hair as well.

For eyes, I LOVE Trish McEvoy (sp) eye serum and eye cream. I use this twice daily as well.

I just bought a Sonicare toothbrush and I am kicking myself in the rear for not doing it sooner. My teeth feel just like I left the dental office every time I use it.

I also love Coconut and Vitamin E oil.

I've never heard of the Younique product.. sounds like some direct sales or MLM.

I've been staggered at the healing abilities of manuka honey. Discovered it recently and have used it on a long-lasting sore that kept getting re-irritated, a burn on my tongue, and a few owies my husband has gotten, and even a UTI in a young niece (eaten for that one – yummy!).

It fights infection very effectively (and reportedly, can be used internally to augment an external application), and acts on the body in such a way that it speeds healing of injured tissues. There can be a slight sting at first, but then the pain, even from a smallish burn, almost completely disappeared. This stuff is available under various brand names (I've had amazing results with Medi-honey), and it's an impressive addition to the medicine cabinet.

Aveda's Dry Remedy oil. Put a few drops in your palms, mix around and put on dry hair. Makes it nice and smooth and shiny, without any irritating silicone.

I recently found St. Tropez self-tanner. Man, this stuff is amazing! It doesn't have that weird self-tanner smell (you know the one I mean!), and for the first time in my entire life, I look positively bronze goddess-ish. (Normally, I'm the pastiest white you've ever seen, and I've struggled with finding a self-tanner that doesn't go on streaky.) It's also pretty easy to put on - I bought the starter kit at Ulta, and it comes with a mitt that makes it very easy to spread around without getting it all over your hands. Anyway, yay for looking tan!

I'm going to have to try that mascara you recommended. I do love mascara. :)
