My husband and I are celebrating our four year anniversary and I am looking for a nice romantic restaurant we could go to for lunch. We both have the day off and we only have the day because my son is in daycare and we have nobody to watch him. I was thinking anywhere in the DFW area. Thanks!

So What Happened?

Well, we tried the Sardines restaurant in Ft Worth. It was really nice! My husband said it was the best italian food he has ever had. The atmosphere was very romantic and we loved the live jazz music. Thank you! This is a night we will not forget.

Hi E.! I have the best place in mind for you! Sardine's Ristorante Italiano on University Dr. (close to the intersection of 7th). They have live jazz music and you eat by candlelight. They also have a full selection of wine too! This place was actually voted the "Best Date Place" from the Fort Worth Weekly newspaper (I think it was last year). You'll need to make reservations now if you want to get in for Valentines Day. The address is:
Sardines Ristorante Italiano
509 University Dr
Fort Worth, TX 76107

I am not sure if this restaurant is open for lunch but it is a perfect Anniversary location. It is called Ruffinos Italian
2455 Forest Park Blvd. in Fort Worth and their number is
###-###-####. They have wonderful food and they have an amazing Cappucino ice cream pie for dessert. Enjoy. A. B.

I know its not Downtown FTW but on Camp Bowie the Itilian Inn is awsome. It has booths w/ shutter doors and is candle light. In the evenings after 6pm there is panio player. The resturant is underground and is so yummy. They have a small salad/soup bar included w/ your antre. You really should check it out ....ohh bring white out or a marker b/c you can write in the booths on the wall. Good luck and have a fun time out alone!

Italianni's is wonderful. It's off of Precinct Line just before you get to Airport Freeway. The food is wonderful, nice atmosphere, candlelite, quiet, and the waiters don't bug you every second but they don't neglect you either.

I discovered this place by accident - but it is wonderful, and very romantic - It is called "Empress of China" and is located in a little strip mall directly across the street from Irving Mall. The restaurant had dim lighting, very private booths, and the food is fantastic (dinners are served on platters, so you can share your food). I go there on special occasions!!

We LOVE Bugatti's in Dallas off of Northwest Highway and Lemon. The owners name is Zee. The food is Italian and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Hi E. - I'm from Fort Worth so my suggestions are on this side of town. If you like Chinese food P.F. Chang's downtown is great. A little more romantic might be the Italian Inn (on Camp Bowie). It's in the basement of a shopping center so it's dark, they have booths with swinging doors that close to give privacy, and have singers. Hope these ideas help!

I also recommend Italian Inn in Forth Worth! My husband and I got engaged there on the dance floor :) It's very cozy and romantic! If you go there take a marker with you so you can write your names and date somewhere on the wall!

Aside from going to a fondue place, like Simply Fondue, I heard of a place called Bahama Breeze (in Grapevine), it sounds good, I've never been there. I love Maharaja's off of Hulen... get the samosa, chicken tikka misala and the naan!!
