Hello I just moved to San Antonio from Minnesota. My husband has been down here and we just joined him. I have to boys 2 1/2 and 7. I am looking for a pediatrician for them that is good and does not take a long time to get into. We live in an apt right now and will be moving into our house in January so something that is close to our house which is in Indian Springs 78261. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

Hi K.. Welcome to San Antonio :). I'm pretty new here also. Sounds like we'll be neighbors. I live in Indian Springs - moved in in April. I recently gave birth to my beautiful son this past May and was given a recommendation of my pediatrician from my OBGYN. His name is Dr. Ike Pauli and he's located off of Stone Oak. He's with the Northeast Pediatric Associates. His # is ###-###-####. Good luck with everything and I hope you enjoy San Antonio. So far I love it!

Dr. Michael Mann is an excellent physician. He is not a pediatrician, but a family practice doctor ~which in my opinion is better. He is in the hill country just barely north of San Antonio on Hwy 281. I highly recommend him, he is kind and patient and actually takes time with his patients. His phone number is ###-###-####. I am a nurse and see plenty of physicians...he is a great doctor and I take my 1 year old grand daughter to him. Take care.

Hi K.,

What part of MN are you from? I grew up in the Grand Rapids area :o) I take my kiddos to ABCD Pediatrics and they LOVE it! They both have their favorite docs but absolutley any of them are terrific. Our very favorite is their NP Michelle. I hope you enjoy SA as much as we do.

Hi K.. I'm a midwife here in San Antonio and most of my clients use Dr. Diane McMains. She is great. I don't know where zip code 78261 is but she would be worth the drive even if she is a bit of a drive.

I use the Northeast Pediatrics near the Northeast Babtist hospital and I have been very happy with them. I used to go to Diane McMaines but changed doctors because my child wasn't getting better, we usually saw the nurse practitioner and not Diane herself but I wouldn't recommend that.

Stone Oak pediactrics at 403-BABY. It is a practice of three women, all Mommies themselves. Dr. Sarah Bourland is ours and I love her! She has really helped with some tough situations...

I just moved here as well, and I don't have a pediatrician yet either. But we moved into the same subdivision (The Preserve @ Indian Springs), so if you do find a good one (pediatrician, that is) or just want a friend (I stay home as well), feel free to contact me. Good Luck!
