Looking for New Pediatrician (And Pediatric Dentist)

Welcome to SA! We take our now 2 yr old son to ABCD Pediatrics in Stone Oak. We LOVE Dr. Schlosburg. Never have trouble getting in & any Dr. you see is great. We did switch from Dr. Wilke tho, she's nice, but like Schlosburg better. GREAT practice :) ###-###-####

We're trying out Little Teeth of Texas Dentistry at the end of the month. They're taking new patients & sound nice. They're on Hardy Oak in Stone Oak. ###-###-#### I left a message yesterday morning & they called me back within 2 hours (not including lunch time). I can let you know what they're like if you want. I take my kids to Dr. Doose and they just love him. He has a great way with kids to make them feel comfortable. I also take my kids to NE Pediatrics ####-###-#### located on Stone Oak , the dr we see is Dr. Melanie Mitchell.

Also, Dr. Doose is who we go to for a pediatric dentist. He is great! ###-###-####. I highly recommend both of them.

Both my kids see Dr. Gonzalez at ABCD Pediatrics in Stone Oak and we all love her! There are several other doctors in the office so if she were unavailable for some reason, there are many who could step in if necessary. I have never not been able to get in and see her the same day when one of my kids were sick.

Stonehue is the first street north of Huebner from Stone Oak Pkwy and curves to hit Huebner just east of Stone Oak Pwky. There is an imaging center across the street if they need any x-rays or anything and they are associated with North Central Baptist (as well as others) if your child has any emergencies. They cam e early in the morning after my daughter was born to make sure she was doing well and was being taken care of.

Dr. Cynthia Banker is a great Pediatric Dentist. She is off of 281 at the Hollywood Park exit. Very close. I am prettys ure that she is in most network programs.

As for the Pediatrician - I love Dr. Tressler and Dr. Basey at ABCD Pediatrics in Stone Oak. They are wonderful with both infants and the little ones.

A few years back, I got very upset with my pediatric dentist (one who is mentioned here but I won't say which). I polled all my friends to find out where they take their children and the overwhelming response was Dr. Doose. He and his staff are very warm and friendly but, most importantly, my children like him and have no qualms about going to the dentist.

The boys have also been patients of Dr. Dooley at Northeast Pediatrics since they were babies and I am very pleased there as well.

For a pediatrician, I have Dr. Chincanchan. I absolutely love her because shes friendly, knowledgable, and has no qualms answering all of your questions and concerns. Best of all, the kids are comfortable and enjoy seeing her.
She is located in the Medical Center off of Babcock in the Santa Rosa towers ###-###-####

As for pediatric dentist, I have always used Dr. Osfutt off of Wurzbach near Fredericksburg Rd. ###-###-####
My kids also enjoy going to his kid friendly office and seeing him.

I know how hard it is to find good care for your children, and I am always grateful to have found such a fabulous doctor and dentist for mine so I like to pass it on! Dr. Laura Davis is great, her office is in Medical Center, there are two other doctors in the office that we have seen also and been happy with but I would definitely recommend Dr. Davis as a primary. Not sure if you are looking for someone close to Stone Oak, but we love Dr. Wilson at Alamo Heights Pediatric Dentistry, and all of her staff are great as well. Good luck!

And yesterday we saw Ben Taylor, DDS for the first time and it was a HUGE success. He got my reluctant three year old to laugh smile and brush the pigs teeth. The waiting room is like a small playground. She left there with a dozen stickers. AMAZING how they bent over backwards to make her feel comfortable.

Welcome to San ANtonio. We moved here a couple of years ago and love it now. I know it can be hard to relocate, so hang in there.

I found a great pediatric dentist on Thousand Oaks/Henderson Pass. His name is Dr. Doose the address is 2235 Thousands Oaks Suite 122 Ph: ###-###-####. He has a great way with kids. I highly recommend him.

Had Cynthia Banker for pedi dentist - would not recommend. She didn't do certain things she could have done saying I was too young. Switched dentists and said she should have been doing them before when I was younger.

NE Pediatrics was awful. I started with them and switched to ABCD Pediatrics when my daughter was 4 months old.

I have heard good things about Dr. Doose dentist.
I see Wilke at ABCD, but I think I am going to switch to Garcia because I saw her once when Wilke wasn't available and she is just lovely. :)

I work as a referral coordinator at a family practice that doesn't see patients under the age of 8 so i often refer our patients to take there little ones to Dr.Cortez with All Star Pediatrics. He is the only doctor there and he has a great P.A. Patients are always happy with him and love how quickly they can be see, even as new patients. I know its a big decision so i hope you find one that works for you and your daughter.

I must say that Dr Steve Valez ###-###-#### in Schertz (it's a pediatric dentist). He is amazing, I have 3 kids, 8,6 and 4 and have seen him for about 4 yrs when my daughter knocked her teeth. SHe was 4 and hit her teeth at the park. I called him (never have been to his office before) and he told me to bring her right and he would squeeze her in. He told us soft food for a week, well one week later exactly she hit her teeth on brothers head at 7pm at night. Call to leave a message on his answering machine but he gave his cell phone number for emergencies ON THE ANSWERING MACHINE. I called and he actually answered. Asked if I thought she needed to come in now or if it could wait. I said I thought it could wait, and he said come in at 7:30 before his practice opened and he would see her first thing. Needless to say, she had to have her teeth pulled. AND didn't cry or anything b/c he made her feel that comfortable. My youngest fell on a handicap ramp one night during Fiesta and I called him, he told me he was at Fiesta with his family, but that if he needed to be seen he would leave and meet me at his office. HE's is AMAZING!!!

We have also been going to ABCD Pediatrics since my oldest was about 2 yrs old. We mostly went to the Stone Oak office, but they do have a Schertz office now as well. I actually have seen all their doctors and they are all great. My favorites though are Dr Wilkey, Dr Schlosberg, Dr Garcia and Dr Basey. Michelle their Nurse Practicioner is also real nice. You can't go wrong with them. I have NEVER not been able to get a same day appointment and if I have their on call person paged, they always call back.
