Hello, I have just moved to a new area off 1604/HWY 90. My current pediatrician is moving to a new office very FAR away (10 miles outside of Stone Oak).... so, i am currently looking for a new pediatrician for my 2 1/2 yr old and my new baby that will be born at the end of May. I'm new to this area of SA & I don't even know where to start. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated... (or if you know of places that you don't like as well.... so i won't waste my time) :) Thanks! Blessings to you all!

I use Christine Littlefield, MD at Northwest Pediatrics on Bandera & Huebner. It is a group practice and a sick child is almost always seen the same day. They have a sick and well waiting areas also. Dr Littlefield has always returned my calls in a timely manner and has been a great doctor for my 2 kids. My oldest is 10 and youngest is almost 3 so I have seen her for 10 + years. Yikes!

Good Luck!

We've been at NW Pediatric Associates (Bandera and Huebner)http://nwpedi.com/ for two years now and are very very happy with the practice. They will even see your child on a Saturday if she's sick. They always squeeze us in for my children's many many ear infections. Good luck with your move. I'm sure you'll settle in well!

I have a wonderful pedi for my 3 year old and 1 year old daughters. She is off 410 and Broadway near Sunset. Dr. Linda Cook. Her office is easy to get to, very friendly and knowledgable and I also love the other dr's in the practice. Worth any kind of drive you would have!

J.,
You should try Children's First Pediatrics. They are located on Cinnamon Creek. Dr. Jose Ferreris is a wonderful pediatrician. Actually all the the doctors there are. My son was with Dr. Ferreris until a recent insurance change, but he's wonderful. He actually takes the time in speaking with you and letting you know what's going on with your child. Not like some doctors who are only there to do their job and get out of there. Here's the address:
8627 Cinnamon Creek, Suite 100
###-###-####.

Good luck and welcome to San Antonio.

My pediatrician is on Stone Oak not far from 1604. It is Northeast Pediatrics and we are new to San Antonio as well (from Michigan) and they made thr transition really easy. They are right next to the hospital. Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm not sure how far this is for you, but our pediatricians are on Stone Oak Parkway, North of 1604. The are just a few blocks from the hospital. I know the names of two of the Dr's there and love them. Dr. Molly Salinas and Dr. Aeschilman (Ay-shil-mun). There are two maybe three other Dr's in this office. They have sick and well child waiting areas. My daughter, now 8, and my son, who will be 5 next month, have each been with these Dr's almost since birth, so we've been with this office since '99. The group name is South Texas Center for Pediatric Care (STCPC) and their number is ###-###-####. I live off of 35 and Walzem, and I don't mind the drive since these Doctors and the Staff are worth it.

Hope this helps.
