My sister-in-law just found something that she's getting my daughter for her birthday. It's called Aquadots. I haven't actually seen the product, but my girls love doing crafty things and anything new is always okay with them.

I can understand your frustration. I have an 8 yr old and she is very hard to buy for, primarily b/c she doesn't need anything. I tell you what moms don't like their 8 yr old to have....more craft kits and science kits, I cringe when my daughter gets those, just more mess for mom to deal with. Also Bratz toys go right into the donation pile.
On to the good stuff: True, every 8 yr old has at least 5 Webkins already but more always seem to be a hit. As are the Webkins charms, trading cards and body products you can now buy. My daughter happens to like horses; Bella Sera cards (and the Bella Sera web site) are big right now. There are oodles of chapter books out there for all interests, my daughter likes the Rainbow Magic fairy series. Someone mentioned Bath and Body Works...they sell American Girl body products that would make a nice set. If she has an American Girl Doll, some products plus an AGD book would be good; there is a new series of cooking with your american girl doll kits out there, I have Kit's Cooking Studio(from Amazon) put away for the holidays for my daughter. Good luck!

Hi K.~
Maybe some cute jewelery or if she has pierced ears, some new earrings. I know Limited Too for clothes is popular (expensive though), gift certificates to the movies, or if she into a particular activity or sport, something that goes along with that. Also, Bath & Body Works has a line for girls that is nice....shampoos, lipgloss, lotions etc.
Hope these help!

I have an 8 year old and she loves Webkinz. They are stuffed animals you can buy them at Halmark, Limited Too or on line. Each stuffed animal comes with a code that you put in the computer on Webkinz.com. If she has a bunch of Webkinz already you can buy her clothes for the Webkinz or the webkinz bracelet and charms.
My daughter also loved Target gift cards!
Good luck!

Sephora (the makeup paradise) even makes some nice girl products. There's lip gloss, perfumes, etc. especially designed for girls. Then there's also the yummy Whipped Delights (I think that's what the cremes called) that have scents such as marshmallow, lemon, pink grapefruit - they're back in the bath section - my son even loves them rubbed into his feet.

My daughter is 71/2 and so very much into Hannah Montana and HSM. So I agree with besides these things!! LOL, very annoying!! :)
We just bought a 9yr old a set of beads to make her own jewlery. Girls this age are into more crafts, music, games (like the game someone else listed), webkins are popular and jewlery. It all depends on her intrests. If Hannah and HSM was brought up then you could just go with things like jewlery, lotions or body sprays, just like the "big girls" on tv wear.
Just throwing out some suggestions!!

Try clothes or stuff from Justice For Girls maybe even a gift card from there. It's a girls clothing store that sells all kinds of cool clothes, accessories, movie stuff and things for their bedroom. Many little girls just love that store.
