How Do You Find Resales Such as Twin Sales?

Hello,

I have been to several baby/childrens resales in the Crystal Lake area (Mothers of Twins resale, Posh Tots, etc.), but have always heard about them "through the grapevine". Does anyone have any good resources for finding these types of sales?

Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

Here's a website for the Twin Sale that is usually at the Crystal Lake Holiday Inn...I'm guessing this is the one you are talking about!

Not sure about twin sales, but I wanted to mention KINDER CLOSET resale shop in Wauconda. It is an great resale shop of affordable name brand clothes for kids & maternity. It is mom-owned by my friend who actually invited me to join mamasource. (Her youngest, the only boy, is 2--so I know there will always be nice quality clothes for your little guy to grow into!) There is a huge play area for the kids while you shop the stroller friendly aisles! Check it out, take 176 east for less than 20 minutes from Crystal Lake!! It's worth it!

Check the local websites for mom/tot happenings:

I believe there is one called Suburban Woman too. You can also find other publications like this in your library or around town. Your town/village might also have a website with a calendar of events.

Hope this helps!

Hi K.,

I am part of a great moms group in your area called Mom-2-Mom. We usually list these kinds of sales either on our yahoo account or in our newsletter to our members. If you would like more info about our group, check out our website at mom2momclub.com.

Have a great day

Watch craigs list. You can find a lot of things on that website.

I'm pretty sure most are advertised on Craigslist. I am a member of One Plus One in the Schaumburg/Palatine/Hoffman Estates area and ours is on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 8:30am to 12:30pm---Hoffman Estates Park District Community Center 1685 W Higgins Rd. Hoffman Estates, IL Admission is $1.00.

Usually a mom of multiples has a list. I have a few more if you are interested but check Craig's (and maybe garagesales.com???) list a few weeks before March/April. They are always in March or April and usually in August or September too (most are semi-annual). Hope this helps!

I LOVE this sale!! It is right in CL also! This is from the email I got from them. When you shop ask to be put on their mailing list. They wont sell anything that is dirty, with holes, tears or missing parts! Good quality stuff that is easy to look at because it is all on racks by size and gender. They really have ANY and EVERY thing you would need! It is 1 stop shopping! I never miss it!

Spring Kidstuff Resale will be held Saturday, April 25th from 8 am until Noon at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Crystal Lake. Admission is a $1 donation at the door for the food pantry or an equivalent food pantry item.

Proceeds from the resale support our group’s activities and outreach and advocacy programs in the community, as well as local food pantries. In the past year alone, our sales raised over $5000 for the Algonquin/LITH, Crystal Lake, Grafton Township, and Cary-Grove food pantries.

Hi K.,

I'm a mom of twins & a member of a twins club, Multiple Choice, in the Buffalo Grove/Palatine/AH area. To see when twin clubs in the area are having resales this spring, click this link: http://www.iomotc.org/childrens_clothing_sales
(from the Illinois Organization of Mother's of Twins Clubs)
There are several coming up soon & in April (ours is on 4/25 in Lake Zurich). When you go to the sales, ask to be put on the mailing list, too. Happy Shopping!
