Generally, people update in the So What Happened so that everyone knows what happened. Usually, people don't respond to each individual responder. To do that, you click the name of the responder to send a message.

The people who answer usually don't expect a response. If a responder asks a question, it's usually to get more info for everyone, so if you want to "add" to your question, you can edit it - I usually put "ADD:" and then the new info so it's easy to see that more info was added after the question was posted the first time.

To reply privately, click on their name and then click on the link to send a private message. Otherwise, just edit your question and add in a response in the question or what happened section.

H....welcome...I know it can be confusing...

this is not like facebook where you have a continuing conversation with people...

it's not a blog either....

You can update with your "so what happened" (also known as SWH)...or you can send people personal messages (PMs).

I don't think anyone here expects a PM for responding. Giving them a flower for their contribution tells them that you read it, liked it or agreed with it.

Here are some terms that are often used - I know you didn't ask but I'm trying to be preemptive!! :)

OP- original poster
SWH - So What Happened
DD/DS/DH - "dear" daughter/son/husband
BF - breast feeding or best friend depending upon context
SS/SD - Step son/daughter

There are a ton more - but those are the basics...

GOOD LUCK and welcome
