Hi moms - wondering if you had any suggestions for goodie bag ideas for the single adults coming to a toddler's b-day party. And yes, I do want to get a little something but don't want to spend a lot and want it to be useful. Thanks so much :)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you to everyone who was "positive" and gave suggestions based on the fact that I said I was going to do it regardless :)

So, I went with a can of beer, a mini bag of kernels popcorn and some chocolates - they were a hit! The starbucks gift card, mini airplane bottles and lottery tickets were next on my list. For thank you cards, I am giving away photos from the party!!

You guys are awesome - thanks again mommies!!!

How about a $5 gift card for Starbucks? You would probably end up spending that much anyways on stuff they may not want!

I know that you say you want to get something for the adults, but the truth is if you don't spend a bit of money on it, it will just be another cheap thing that gets thrown away. I would be more than a little weirded out to get a "goodie bag" at a toddler party.

hahaha Riley! I like the chocolate idea too, maybe a bottle of wine, a gourmet box of cookies? A quality but inexpensive kitchen utensil, something everyone uses....

birth control? just kidding
That's so nice that you want to include them! Why not just candy? Maybe even candy and little toys, too, so they can feel like a kid themselves

How sweet of you to want to do this!!

I would put chocolate in there!! I like the other suggestion for ear plugs!! :)

You didn't say how many adults were coming and what your budget is. If you have the funds a CD or a throw-away camera so they can take pics????

I don't think I'm helping you!!

Is this just something you want to do? I've never heard of goodie bags for adults -they're just for the kids. It's going to be really hard to find something cheap that every adult would like, but if you really want to do this, I guess you could try little lidded travel candles or travel-size antibacterial hand cream or something. The dollar store sometimes has those or you can get them for a dollar at Target in the travel/cosmetics section. Bath and Body Works has a bunch of stuff like that too, but I think you're going to pay about $5 an item.

I've never heard of goody bags for adults. You'll never hear the end of it if the adult goodies get mixed up with the kids goodies. Makes me think of the 'Everybody Loves Raymond' episode when the foil wrapped condoms got mistaken for chocolates and were handed out as Halloween treats to kids who were going door to door. "But Officer! There was a mix up and it was a mistake!" sounds kind of lame in court.

We just gave out magnets and choclate lollipops for our daughters first bday. Our daughters name is daisy and I was at an art fair and found daisy photo magnets for $1. I also made choclate lollipops in the shape of daisy's. Goodluck!

For my each of my daughters first birthday I made a magnet with their picture on it. I still see them on peoples fridges when we go over to visit and all the adult guests loved them. Even some of my older cousins told me they put them in their locker at school.

Oh and I used vistaprint.com they are always offering free offers..so it was really inexpensive.
