Gift Suggestion

I don't know if this is up their alley, but my friends and I love board games. For a couple of friends, I made a tower of really lovely wooden board games like chess, mancala, Quarto and others. Also, Scattagories, Trivial Pursuit, cribbage and things like that. Twister, too, just to be silly. I wrapped each separately and stacked them in a tower. I think I spent about $120 each time. Then, when we come over to their house, there are always fun games to play! But, if they don't like that kind of entertainment, it wouldn't work.

In that case, a pair of tickets to a play or concert is awesome, too. Someone gave us two tickets to Steppenwolf theatre in a cute frame. That was a nice change of pace! If they have kids, you could offer to babysit that night as a special prize!

I went to a wedding for a friend. it was the second wedding for both of the (bride and groom) we all gave gift cards. a gift card shower and then again for wedding gifts. they were working on a house and rehabbing it so they needed gift cards for all sorts of stuff.

Love Scarlet's idea for the games. Concert tickets or event that they would enjoy together is a nice idea, too. Gift certificate to a nice restaurant or play. Home Depot or Lowe's card, with the quip "Something to help build your life together!".... if they have their own home or condo.

A magnum (2 bottle or 5 bottle) of wine - "Like fine wine - you'll both get better with age, just being together!" Or just a really nice bottle of wine. If you had a little more time, you could have your own label put on it.

Not sure of the amount that you would like to spend. if the wine suggestion works for you and you need good suggestions for a nice bottle of wine, just personal message me. Or..... Binney's in Orland Park has a very lovely wine selection and a knowledgeable wine staff. They welcome anyone who would like to pick their brain about buying the right wine.

How about a basket filled with things they can do together? Spring is coming, you could fill it with items used to take a weekend trip (gas cards, maps, picnic basket, wine glasses), if they like to hike how about sports store cards to get any needed gear, canteens, lanterns, bug spray, or if they like to stay home for romantic time together movie rental gift cards (or a subscription to NetFlix), candles, menus to a local take-out with a gift card, matching pj's(?), a warm throw. I think your possibilites could be endless so I would pick something of a personal interest to both of them and than run with it!
