Since they have been together for years, I bet they have lots of photos together. I've found that a nice wedding gift is a dvd photo slideshow!

I actually run a (mom-owned) company called Nice Occasions. I do dvd photomontage slideshows. These slideshows can be very sentimental and emotional or very fun and happy... whatever you want! People seem to really like them! I've had great feedback so far.

I'm actually offering a 15% off discount through mamasourse. My company is called Nice Occasions and the website is http://www.niceoccasions.com/

Good luck with the gift searching!

Hi T.,

Depending on how much you would like to spend....I have given a gift card to a nice restaurant and tickets to a movie with some extra money for snacks. I have also given a gift card to a supermarket or someplace where they can buy things to make a nice dinner at home along with a gift card to a movie store so that they can rent movies and have a nice together night at home. It may sound like not so fancy of a gift but people really appreciate the chance to have a night out or in and not have to pay for it.

My daughter just married her man she has been living with for 5 yrs. I gave them a gift cert. to a local hi rent eatery and admittance to the Clooege Football Hall of Fame in South Bend. They took pictures as a permanent memento and enjoyed themselves completely. That turned out to be their honeymoon because his orders for Iraq came in just before the weddingIt has survived much more than the fancy "junque" their friends gave them. Hi T.,

Cash is never a bad idea wether it is your first or 5th marriage ;)
If you want something unique as far as gifts I'd recomment the red envelope (you can google it online) they have great personalized gifts.

Also, you could get a couple of people together and get them a couple's day at the Spa! We love that :)

Hi T.!

My husband & I were both married before so our marriage is both of our second marriages. For our wedding we honestly didn't expect many gifts, since most of the guests had attended our first weddings. However most people got us gifts anyway, mostly money or gift certificates to use toward our honeymoon. Is this couple going away? We went to Orlando & had our park tickets bought for us & also 2 of our dinners. If they aren't going away maybe just a dinner at a local restaurant or tickets to something fun that they both like. Hope that helps!

Sometimes second marriages are a chance to replace things that remind you of the previous marriage (even if you've been together for a while, you might still have those old dishes, or old silverware). They may be looking to replace some kitchen things that are old or worn.
Check to see if they are registered somewhere.
Gift certificates are always nice. Either at stores or restaurants. Gift certificate at a garden center?
Something romantic --candles & champagne?
An interesting piece of art?

Have fun! Be creative! They can always return it.
Good luck.

Someone had already mentioned photo albums, so I thought you might like to look at items from my mom-owned business. I offer a variety of gifts as well as special ways to preserve your memories (such as framing their wedding photo and invitation.) If they have kids, photo albums never go to waste. Please see www.mycmsite.com/mindynemoff for scrapbooking, digital storybooks and mini albums in a variety of sizes and colors and even wedding themed. If they have their photos digital, you might be able to help them purchase a one-of-a-kind album of that special day.

Hi T.. I have a standard wedding gift that I give close friends/family, but it is very personal. I have a friend who is an artist (their are pleanty around, my friend is in PA)and she paints on their invitation with water color extending it onto the matting and then frames it. It is beautiful and unique. She then secures the envelope on the back that has my name on it (the one in which the invitation was sent)so the recipient always knows who it was from. Another thought....wine of the month. Good Luck!! M. P

I know that when I got married the second time we did not have a honeymoon because I had a 1 year old and a 6 year old. My freinds and family did a few things for us that we loved and were able to use them as a family as well as a couple. One of the gifts were a weekend away at a nice hotel and dinner by the gambbling boats with the person giving the gift as the baby sitter for the weekend. Another was movie, zoo, and restraunt cerft. for the whole family. Finally another one of my freinds paid for our wedding cake which was very sweet. If they love dancing, movies, or what ever use that to make a basket full of goodies!

It depends on how much you want to spend. I know people who have bought a gift certificate to the couple's favorite restaurant, it is always nice to not spend your own money, up to a group paying for a weekend get away. Also a gift card to a place they like to shop. Are they gardeners, what are their hobbies? Also a nice bottle of wine. I got friends a wonderful wine cooler and a bottle of wine. Good luck!

A Photo Album is always a good gift. Or gift cards to their favorite restaurant, or favorite entertainment location, or their favorite store.

One of the best gifts I saw was a gift card to the local auto shop for oil changes, etc. Something both of them will definately use in the future.

I would go with gift cards. I know this seems impersonal, but for this kind of thing, I think it's maybe more practical. Try to find one for someplace they either haven't been or that they don't go to often. Maybe one from Lowe's, etc, where they can get some stuff for their home or yard, etc.

Instead of getting them an item, why don't you look into getting them something they can do together. Possibly like six months into the future when they have been married a little bit and want some special time together. You could get them a weekend at a Bed and Breakfast or a couples massage or just dinner and a movie. Tickets to a upcoming play or concernt at a theater. Not in your budget? Well how about a Bible study they can do together? If they have kids you could make coupons to babysit for free once a month so they can go out. I know my husband and I would LOVE to get a night out on the town with no kids.

well, depending on what you want to spend. I would get them something they could use as a couple. Maybe a two night stay at a hotel it is always nice to get away from home to play. A spa day for the them together. Movie tickets if they love going to the movies. Not just a couple of tickets, maybe enough that they could go to the movies once a week for a year. Maybe a gift card to their favorite romantic eatting place. Make sure its enough to cover more than one time. There is all kinds of entertainment such as opera, ballet, theater, concerts, lots of places you should be able to get tickets or gift cards. Or if you know something that they really like to do together but do rarely because they cannot afford it. Also, if things are to expesive for you, you might want to consider getting some of their other friends or family to go in on whatever you choose. On the cheaper side if they love the outdoors put a picnic basket together. I mean include everything but the food. basket the bottle of wine, glasses, plates napkin, table cloth a gift card for the food, and whatever else you can think of that would go in the basket. No matter what you get them just remind them that just because they are married, does not mean the dating ends. Keep a little spice in the relationship.

This may sound self serving on my part because I sell the products, but Thirty-One Gifts has great monogrammed items (and all monogramming is FREE!). You could do something fun with their last name. A tote with last name(bride's always like these), and fill it with fun stuff. Maybe fill it with items for a romantic picnic. I know my husband and I got a couple of picnic baskets, but never really used them on our picnics(too full of plates etc.. to put any food), but a tote can be used for so many things. Check out the website www.mythirtyone.com/heart, there are also nice monogrammable robes and a variety of nice gifts. Contact me via email from the site and I'll give you a 10% Mamasource discount! It may seem unconventional but what about a gift certificate to your local theatre or sports arena? Whatever their likes are as a couple. Everyone knows that once you marry the "couple" time goes away. Since they probably have everything they need for the house, the chance to go see some movies together or a show may be just the ticket!

I just recently had this dilemma. What I did was put together a wicker basket(one that can be used for laundry) and put simple items in it: stamps, stationary, their favorite coffee w/his and hers mugs, scented candles and massage oils, items for their grill. I just threw a couple of new towels in the bottom(like tissue paper)and added everything in the basket. They loved it.
Good luck!!
