Suggestions for Mom's Night Out

I'm hosting a mom's night out at my house and wondering if you have suggestions for activities or discussions. It would be fun to make this a quarterly event - any ideas for traditions to start?

My friend has a Women Who Wine night 2x a year. Everyone brings a bottle of wine, she provides snacks and we have a wonderful time! Very classy.

Hi P.!

Wow- what neat ideas from everyone! I love playing games with other gals and just laughing and having a great time! Talk about melting the stress away! Karen had mentioned having a spa party with your gals, and that is something I can offer you and your friends at no cost. I have over 10 years of experience as a beauty consultant, and will travel just about anywhere any evening during the week or anytime over the weekend. January and February are the perfect time for 'fireside spa' nights- even if you don't have a fireplace! I can bring everything you'd need for a VERY fun relaxing experience, and I never haggle for people to purchase products or call to pester them later. Please give me a call at ###-###-#### to set something up for you. You can also just respond to this message. I have a new themed party I host every couple of months, like 'Chocolates and makeovers', 'Ready for bed pajama party'- always so much fun!

Can't wait to hear from you!

Play a game!! We love "Apples to Apples" for our MNO's and its always a great time.

Also, maybe discuss activities you all can do with your kids at home to save money...

When my mom's group get together at our houses we usually play board games.

Massage night. You can often hire someone to come into the home and set up eigher a chair or a table and do massages for 10min - 1hour for a reduced rate for a party. (If you have a lot of moms I would limit the time so everyone has a chance and send out an email sign up before hand. If you know who is interested you can do the "appointments" to save people not wanting to go first and wasting time deciding who goes next because nobody wants to be rude or pushy. After the relaxing experience you don't have to rush home. You can sit around and ejoy the moment. You as the hostess can be last and then just go to bed! While you wait you can play games, watch a movie, just talk. Also, we brought our wedding photos to a MNO (of course if not all the moms are married this is not something to do) you can do yearbooks or just funny old photos.

I would be happy to do a free lecture on what to look for in a music teacher for your child. or "Does my child have music talent: tips for parents on nurturing and developing your child's ability." I have been a music teacher and professional musician for lots of years!

P.,

I'm a lia sophia Advisor and I'd be happy to come, display my jewelry for your friends to try on. I'm not a high pressure sales person and I know how much fun the ladies at my shows have trying on jewelry. It would also fit in with any other activities you have planned and/or I have some theme show ideas. You can learn more about the jewelry as well as my contact info at my website www.liasophia.com/sharonw.

Have a great week!

We like to do a "Girl's Night In". I told everyone to bring their FAVORITE comfort food - someone showed up with Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce, another with Crab Rangoon and even someone with a White Castle crave case! They were told to bring a favorite drink only if they wanted to, but I would have wine on hand. The dress was comfy "I can't believe I am leaving the house in this" outfits. Basically the most comfortable outfit you own. Everyone brought slippers and each brought a movie. We were going to do hand treatments and watch movies, but we just ate and talked until the wee hours. It was so nice to "come as you are", eat comfort food and talk to your closest pals without a schedule. We are planning on doing it again soon!
