Hi S. I received a pair as a gift. Truthfully, I didnt know what they were and the first couple of times I wore them they were pretty comfortable until I wore them all day doing a lot of walking. My feet and calves got really fatigued and I put them away for a while. I assumed they didnt fit well. My friend finally told me what they were supposed to be all about and I had a good laugh. I looked them up later online and was unpleasantly surprised that they are so expensive. I hope my friend found a good sale.

Truthfully, I get just as good a "workout" in my $5 rubber flipflops from Target.

I've never tried the FitFlops, but remember some of the past ones on the market were not successful.

I use the Nikken CardioStrides. They are athletic shoes designed with a 1.3 pound weight integrated into a removable insole (can put an unweighted version in too). The location of the weight at the bottom of the foot is so much safer than the damaging ankle weights. It took me about a day to get used to them. I wear them all around the house and on my errands. A 30 minute walk is worth 300 calories, plus they help tighten and tone back and leg muscles too and raise your metabolism (when you are moving around of course). Fitness is so hard to fit into your day. Figure I might as well get the most out of each step. I can email you a detailed brochure if you give me your email address. They are actually a class one FDA approved medical device - believe it or not. I'll show you how to get the best price on them too. Still, they are better than a gym membership because all you have to do is put them on.
Good luck!
S.

Hi,
I have the fit flops and I love them. If it wasn't winter right now I'd still be wearing them. They're sturdy and very supportive unlike some other plain flat flip flops. Good luck with your choice. If you can't find them through Victoria's Secret try Bath and Body Works. You also might get more variety of color through Bath and Body works.

I bought these last summer after having a few people say how much they liked them. I personally didn't notice any difference, as far as the "workout" side of things went (other than I did feel lit a little the first week) but I CAN tell you they are some of the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. I was nervous, since I'm typically not a person who spends more than $10 or so on summer sandals, but I wasn't let down. I still wear them all the time and they haven't started to break down yet.

That's my two cents :)

I bought them last year and returned them. I never return anything since I figure it not worth it but I returned those. They are not worth $49. I didn't see where they were really doing anything. I would say find a part of shoes that are more comfortable and worth $49
