my baby is teething.. she's been cranky, she had fever two days ago and i had her checked yesterday.. mouth sores is her pedia's diagnosis.. she was okay yesterday until she took amoxicillin for her mouth sores.. after she took the medicine she was crying though sleepy.. i could not get her to sleep... she's just 8months old.. i was so worried i cried.. i could not figure out what's wrong.. no signs of allergy to the meds.. i had her stool checked this morning and it has fat globules, her pedia said its the medicine causing her to have loose stools.. anyone who had the same experience?
ALWAYS take a PRObiotic with an ANTIbiotic. It will put all the good stuff back in and it helps my son with his bowl movements.
My son always had loose stool to the point it was full blown diarrhea when he teethed and when he was on antibiotics. It's normal. As for the crying in the sleep. Happens with my son too. The past two nights he has been doing that. :( it sucks, I know. I hope I get some sleep tonight, and I hope you can too!
This seems to be common with antibiotics. Ask your pharmacist or pediatrician for a probiotic recommendation to take with the meds. It is important that she take the amoxicillin but it is probably affecting her normal gut flora and probiotics will help to counter that effect
My boys always had unusual bowel movements when on meds. Even Tylenol will cause my little one to have diarrhea.
Probiotics are found in yogurt. yo baby is a good yogurt to give them. I was told this by the nurse at the pediatricians office. give her tylenol or infant motrin. alternate the two if you have them both and give her some hylands teething tablets. she is in pain with the teeth coming in. another thing to give her is a wash cloth that has been wetted and froze. Biter biscuits are also good for her to chew on.
