I carpeted my house less than 2 years ago through Empire carpet and I got an incredible deal because I paid upfront and I used the same carpet through the entire house, so I got an additional discount for taking up so much they had in stock. They delivered and installed next day. They require you to move quickly because they have carpet crews they have to keep busy, so use that to your benefit and try to negotiate if you can indeed move as quickly as they want you to. Also, negotiate if you are thinking you are going to use the same carpet throughout, I picked something neutral and it still looks great even with two indoor dogs and a 1 year old!

High pressure and they charged $600 (it was a small job) for one room and I actually went to Home Depot and got the adjacent room done for just dollars more. I personally wouldn't recommend them unless you need something done quick.

Check out Mike at Fixmycarpet.com That is the repair side of his business, but he was awesome, affordable, no pressure, excellent at color match and just wonderful to work with.

You can check with my husbands company p.s. Construction. If you want to compair. You could choose your carpet anywhere and they do the labor at the best prices.
Empire is fine but I used them once and it was very high pressure.

WE called Empire Today because a friend was pleased with their work. WE already had a bid from another company. We were shocked when the Empire Today price was DOUBLE the other company. Needless to say, we DID NOT use them!!!

We went with our other bid and have new, new flooring at a reasonable price! Call me if you would like the name of the other company.

The salesperson who came to our house attempted to pressure us into making a purchase on the spot. He insulted our furniture and political believes (without meaning to, but it didn't make it any less disturbing) and quoted a price that was more than $1000 more than the carpet we ended up purchasing from CC Carpet.

My mother used them last year and ordered the fressie, she loves it.

I had them install carpet in my rental house 2 years ago and they did a great job. I was able to get a discounted price by buying their discontinued stock, which was a multicolored carpet (wear and stains not as noticeable), and got the top grade pad - highly recommend - at a great price. I compared prices and gave Empire another company's quote and they not only matched it but gave me $100.00 off. It saved me $400.00. The carpet still looks great and I would use them again.

I've never used them but have heard from friends that they are WAY over-priced. One friend said they were double what Lowe's charged for the same product.

I called empire and had them come out and give me a quote. The TV said they were running a 60% off sale. The guy came and had some great samples, BUT.....it was high pressure and while he was banging away on a calculator told me he would give me an additional 30% off. (now doesn't that = 90% off???).
Well for the 600 sq ft we need to tile we got 2 quotes from contractors at $4,000-$5,000. That included taking out the old tile, moving furniture and new tiles.
Empire quoted me $6,000.00 and that was new tile only. It would be an additional $1300 to have old tiles removed.
Needless to say, we didn't go with Empire. In fact I still haven't gotten it done!!!

My husband is in real estate and we usually use floor and decor or Stone Mountain. Both have good, quality prices. Carpet One is good quality if you can get something on sale or clearance. Some are scared of clearance and on sale items but they are the best way to go.

My Husband Mike works at Stone Mountain in Lewisville. He's has a ton on knowledge in the business and is very helpful.
