Deoderant - Manning,IA

So lets start off with I do not usually sweat but whatever.

I found a deoderant that I love the smell of... in the container. If I sweat just a little it kinda stinks pretty if that makes sense. Its like a stinky smell with a touch of the smell I like. Uhg. Yes I know there are bigger problems but it is bad today. I still have to vote and get some other things done before I even head home so I am stuck with this stinky smell when I lift my arms!

Does anyone have an amazine deoderant that does not do this? or a remedy for this issue?

To add its not a BO smell but is almost equilly bad if it were not for that hint of fresh flowers! I have tried Dove Clinical and it does this worse to me. I have tried gel (which seems to work the best) and solids, sprays, You name it I have tried it. Is it to much to ask for good smelling arm pits!

What can I do next?

Trader Joes's all natural, unscented with cotton. Simple, with none of the chemicals or odd smells.

Instead of getting deodorant, try the antipersperant version in the same scent.

I use Degree Ultra Clear. LOVE it. I used to use Mitchum. As far as protection goes, I always used the roll-on because it was what worked best for me. Mitchum's gels and solids just didn't work as well for me. BUT, I got tired of waiting for the darn stuff to dry before I could get dressed, so I switched. I get the same good protection (well, at least on the 1st day ;) ) and I don't have to wait 20 min to put on deodorant. Aside from that, Mitchum's motto "So effective, you could skip a day" is SO true!

My favorite is Almay unscented gel. I've been using it for years. You get no smell at all, which is much better than odd smells as your body chemistry mixes with the artificial smell of the deodorant. Everyone's body reacts differently to different smells.
Just like every perfume doesn't smell good on everyone, it's the same with deodorant.

Another vote for Mitchem Men's Unscented Gel.

If you want to smell pretty... Wear perfume. It was a dawning realization for me awhile ago. "Why am I making my armpits smell like fruit? Why not just eradicate the Bo smell, and then with a blank slate, wear a little perfume?

If you want to not sweat, use antiperspirant.

If you don't want to clog the pores that most of the body's toxins sweat out of, use deodorant.

However when you use deodorant, you have to make sure you are using one that kills the odor-causing bacteria.

I use Tom's of Maine because it's all natural, no funky perfumes. Just natural extracts for smell and barley and hops for bacteria prevention. I always smell just like the deodorant, which comes in a few different scents and unscented.

You don't want to just cover up the smell, you want to prevent it from happening at all.

I have the same issue. Seems like our chemistry mixed with that of the deodorant...well, it doesn't work. :)

Have you tried Ban? Comes in a bright green stick, and is usually on the bottom shelf. It works for me. I also like Secret, but look to make sure it has at least 19%. (Funny...clinical strength has 20% instead of 19% and they charge twice the price. Don't waste your money.)

Still, I like Ban.

When I've used a deodorant I've had the same difficulty. I switched to an antiperspirant and not had any odor at all. I suggest that a deodorant allows perspiration to form and it interacts with the scent ingredients in the deodorant. The deodorant does deodorize the perspiration but does not deodorize the combination of perspiration and scent.

I prefer the unscented. I still perspire some. I do like the pleasant smell and get that from bath powder or a light spritzing of cologne every once in awhile. Because of the concern for negative reactions to scents I've mostly stopped using any scents.
