Conceiving a Boy or Girl

Has anyone had any experience with conceiving using the Chinese calendar? From what I have heard if you conceive during certain months depending on your age you can pick the sex of your baby. Is there any truth to this or is it just a bunch of nonsense?

What can I do next?

Hello Julia, this is what determines the sex of a child, the Father, because they have the x and y chromosomes. If the x chromosome meets with the womens x it'll be a girl, if the y chrom. meets w/ the womens x chromosome it'll be a boy. The women only has x chromosomes, the man has x and y chromosomes, so the man determines it.

Hi Julia,

I have used the Chinese lunar calendar for my daughter and it was right. I then asked friends who already had children when they conceived and what their lunar age was at conception, and sure enough, it was right absolutely every time. It is amazing!!!!

Good luck and God bless!

That Chinese Calendar didn't work for me and my sister. In 2006, when me and my sister found out that we were both pregnant due 6 weeks apart, we decided to check the Chinese calendar to see what the sex of our babies would be. I kept hearing about how accurate this thing is, so we both gave it a try. According to the calendar I was having a girl and my sister was having a boy. Well needless to say I have a beautiful boy and my sister has a beautiful girl! So much for that calendar! I guess mother nature has the right to Veto!

Hello Julia,
I didn't use it to conceive, but I did check it after I was pregnant, and was supposed to have a girl - I gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, so I guess it wasn't accurate!

Good Luck,
D.

When I was pregnant last year for fun I did an informal survey of about 40 of my friends and family on whether this Chinese calendar method worked. The results were 50/50, the same as they would be without the Chinese calendar. This method, as the rest, are just nonsense.
