Pregnant? Have You Used the Chinese Calendar? Maternity Clothes?

Hi, I just found out that my husband and I are expecting our third child together and we are about 5 weeks pregnant. We have two girls already and are hoping for a boy. Have any of you mothers used the chinese calendar and it turned out to be right about your sex of the child? My husband is korea so we decided to look up the chinese calendar. I am much bigger already with this pregnancy as my tummy is poochy. My girls I didn't show until 5 months now I am already out growing my clothes.

Oh yeah any place to buy reasonable maternity clothes? Online is fine too!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I have decided to buy clothes from several clearance stores. That has worked out for me. And as far as the sex we just have to wait and see.

Maternity clothes, I can offer a few ideas, second hand stores that sell maternity. Gap and old Navy, sales in other stores with a larger size, craigs list and ebay. Congrats!

My husband is Korean too and we did not use the Korean / Chinese calendar to determine the sex with our 3rd child. My MIL knew I was expecting before we told her because my youngest was playing with a laundry basket pulled over him, like a cage. And she told me that I was or would be soon having another baby..What? How did she know? She was right. I did however use a free on-line ovulation/when to conceive calendar and based on their timing it told me I was likely to have a girl. And we did.

And it's normal to get bigger with subsequent pregnancies. You become more lax and stretched out each time and your body doesn't hold it all in like it used. After pregnancy, gravity starts to attack your breasts and other parts....

Enjoy parenting. Love each moment!! Do your kids LOVE Korean food like mine?

The Chinese Calendar said I was having a boy, but I had a girl. It's got a 50% chance of being right, but then again, so does a coin toss. :-)
I LOVED Old Navy/Gap for maternity clothes. If you check out the clearance section online and in the stores, you can get GREAT deals like $1 for tees. Congratulations and good luck!

I did not use chinese calendar with my 2 boys, now I am preg with our third, it says it will be a girl, but I am sure it's a boy. Also I do not think it matters if you have a girl or a boy how soon you show. I did not show till 6 months with my first boy, 4 months with my second and now at 14 weeks already showing. As for maternity clothes...EBAY:)
congrats

What does being Korean have to do with the Chinese culture? From what I know, they are totally seperate. Those are two totally seperate cultures.
Good Luck and Congratulations on your baby.

The Chinese calendar was right for me, even though everyone said I was having a boy, and I thought I was too based on ovulation time etc, but we had a girl. I bought most of my maternity clothes at resale shops (goodwill, once upon a child, etc) but it takes some hunting to find stores that have them separated well. I also bought some on ebay. Try craigslist too.

Chinese gender chart is not right for me - ever. 50/50 shot and it manages to be wrong. We're expecting #4.. so we shall see.

Kohls has cheap maternity clothes made by Motherhood (but WAY less). I like them for maternity. My friend loved Old Navy maternity clothes.

The Chinese Lunar Calendar was right with all 3 of my kiddos! Girl, Boy, Boy! The Intelligender was WRONG (only used it on my 3rd) Remember to add nine months to your age when using the Chinese Lunar Calendar.
