For a while one hand will turn ice cold and the other is fine. It doesnt happen all thetime. Also when I lay down my legs go numb. If I have one leg on top of the other for even a minute it will go numb, feel very heavy and the skin kinda feels hard. Well this morning my right leg was numb when I woke up, and now I can feel a pulse behind my right knee. I have never felt that before. I dont have to touch it to feel it I can just feel it. It feels like a vein is popping out of my skin. I thought maybe it was the way I was sitting but thats not the case. This is very weird. So I wondering if anyone has heard of this, my legs or one hand being ice cold.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well I went to the doc today. He said he didnt think it was a blod clot. He took blood and he will call me with the results tomorrow. He thinks it could be vitamin deficency or he said that because I am only 100 lbs, that the tiniest pressure could cause body parts to fall asleep. So I guess we will see what the blood tests say.

It may sound crazy but food allergies can do the craziest things. Maybe read The gluten connection, see if anything rings a bell for you.

Well I don't want to scare you but you should see your doctor right away. My dad had problems with his foot and leg going numb, turns out it was vascular disease. This can be fatal if nothing is done about it. Do you smoke? My dad did which made it a lot worse. Please let us know what you find out.

I think you should get this checked out. It could be a pinched nerve in you back or neck. This is not a normal thing. Good Luck! B.

Maybe a pinched nerve? I'd get it checked out though--no sense in guessing--that's why we have personal physicans.

I recommend a doctor visit immediately for diagnosis. Afterwards, depending on what type of circulation issue you have, you could benefit from Massage or even just Reflexology (diabetics reap the greatest benefits with Reflexology!). Just make sure you have your doctor's approval! Good Luck and stay calm~

It sounds like a pinched nerve. My mom had a blood clot behind her knee, but had different symptoms. I would still contact a doctor soon. The heavy feeling maybe a sign of a pinched nerve. Good Luck!

It could be so many things, some serious, so I am on the band wagon with the others and urge you to go to a dr. right away. Are you a diabetic? Varicose veins? It could be a vascular vasospasm, a clot, blockage, pinched nerve, thyroid problems, so many things. Please take care of it right away, as in today. Let us know how you are.

Sounds to me like you have a pinched nerve, I had much of the same symptoms and mine was due to two of my vertibrate in my neck were out of place, you'll have to go to the Dr or cyropracter to get them put back into place. My Dr said that nothing out of the ordinary has to happen in order to get them out of place. Mine happened after a night of drinking (not to much)and then the next morning I was just relaxing on the coach and my body started going numb in differant places. My advice is to go to your Dr, he/she should be able to feel if they are out of place and put them back in, if that is whats wrong. Good luck with everything, hope its nothing serious.

Dear T.,

I remember our children's favorite Pediatrician and what he said to me years ago about what I should do when my children were complaining of pain, experiencing high fevers and/or other unusual symptoms completely out of the norm...."bring them in...sooner, not later" were his exact words. "The best diagnosis is an early diagnosis. It's much easier to treat," he added.

He explained that when these things happen to any of us, it's our bodies trying to tell us that 'something isn't quite right inside of us.' I followed his advice throughout the years for both the kids and my husband and I. Turns out...Doctor was right...getting in when the symptoms first begin is the best and smartest thing to do.

My sincere advice to you from my own and my family's personal experience over the past 38 years? Be proactive, not reactive with your personal health. Leave the diagnosing up to the professionals. Call your Physician first thing tomorrow morning. Make an appointment...keep it... and hopefully, all will be well with you soon. Don't delay hon...your body is trying to tell you something is going on in there...listen to it,respond and be healthy and well soon.

Let us know how you are doing...good girl!

Sincerely,

M. F.
