Advice on Where to Buy Quality Child's Bedroom Furniture at a Reasonable Price?

We are looking for quality bedroom furniture for our 2 year old daughter. We would like to keep it under $1000, but we want it to be made from actual wood! Does anyone know whether or not Pier 1 Kids makes quality furniture? I can't find any reviews of the store on-line. Do you know anywhere that sells good children's furniture at reasonable prices? (Excluding Rooms To Go & Ashley Furniture.) I love the stuff at Stacy Furniture, but it's a little pricey for us right now, even on sale.

What can I do next?

We just bought our daughter's furniture at costco.com, and couldn't be happier. We paid $1300, including tax and delivery, for a bed with a trundle, nightstand, dresser and mirror. And this stuff is GREAT quality - beveled mirror, tongue and groove drawers instead of just glue, drawers on sliders, heavy. We looked at Rooms 2 Go, Ashley and Stacy Furniture, and the quality and price of Costco far and away beats any of them. We got the whole set, but you could get just a few pieces.

It was a little scary ordering online without seeing it in person, but we were absolutely blown away by how nice it is, and how well packaged it came (with very little to put together!).

Hi L.,

This weekend, my husband and I went to The Dump and they also had some children's furniture. The prices were pretty good. The only thing is the selection changes very often, so it kind of depends on when you go.

Good luck finding something!

I got some great furniture at a local consignment sale Bye-Buy Consign last Feb, they have a sale coming up in August you should check them out. I know it is August 17 & 18, but I consign so I shop the presale, to get the good stuff. Look at their websites there are many different ways to get into their sale early. www.bbconsign.com

You should visit the children's area on the second floor of IKEA in Frisco if you haven't already. You will be flooded with adorable decorating ideas both in furniture and organization. Cute cute cute

We bought my oldest daughter's furniture all at the Room Store and it has lasted through several moves. We bought my second daughter's from Rooms To Go and it hasn't lasted that well and it is only a year old.
Check out The Room Store they always have good deals. We bought my oldest daughter a Full Size bed, dresser and night stand and I think it was a little over a $1000.
Have fun shopping!

Rooms to go kids across from Grapevine mills mall! We just went there the other day and they have a whole section dedicated to kids furniture. They had a Cinderella pumpkin carriage bed for $499, it was adorable! They also had (which we are getting for our daughter) a princess castle bed that was elevated. You had to climb a ladder to get to the bed then there is a sliding board off the bottom part of the bed. Underneath was a covered fort. The whole think was pink and purple material. It was ADORABLE! The furniture seems like really good quality also.
