Just Diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes

Does anyone have any advice/suggestions about this diagnoses? I was so convinced that I would not have it since I went through the same thing with my first pregnancy and everything was fine. It sent me into a bit of a shock when I heard the news last night. I meet with the Nutrionist next week and an Endocrologist (sp?) the following week. I did hear that I should start eating better now and that might prevent the need for insulin when I visit with the Dr.??

12 Week Old Allergic to Dairy/possibly Soy

I am a new mother with a precious 12 week old son who has had blood in his stool. The GI doc diagnosed him with allergic colitis and I have been on a dairy-free diet and just added taking out major sources of soy (Obviously I am breastfeeding:) Anyone have a child with allergic colitis? I would love to hear any experiences other moms have had. If you are breastfeeding, what kinds of things did you cook and/or would anyone send good dairy-free recipes to me? Thank you so much!

Husband Is Having Medical Problems

Hello Mom's, I'm hoping for some good & easy recipes & snacks for my beloved Hubby, who is having a few medical problems! He is pre-diabetic, & has really high cholesterol & his recent lab test shows that his liver tests are elevated as well! So I'm schedule to go to some classes to learn how to cook good for him! This new change is gonna help the whole family, so I'm glad this was caught, on time! My Husband is 30 yrs old, & He is a lil overweight, & I am too I still have at least 20pds to loss since I just had a Baby almost 3 Months ago!...
