Hi ladies,
I'm looking for some suggestions on where to buy good quality nursing tops. I've been looking at Expressiva- have you bought anything from them? What were your thoughts? How do their sizes run?

I currently have a few from Motherhood, but I'm not that impressed and they were a bit costly.

I prefer to shop online, so any site recommendations are welcomed.

Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

A good friend of mine told me she likes the ones at Target! Othen than that the only ones I have had experience with is at Motherhood/Mimi Maternity, and I know that the Mimi brand were even more expensive....I hope you find good ones!

I've gotten quite a few shirts from Expressiva and liked them. I also have several of the Glamourmom tanks that I wear either alone or under other shirts. I was surprised to like the tanks as much as I do since I'm usually too 'endowed' for shirts with built in bras.

I nursed my son for 14 months (and I am very modest). I just wore t-shirts (you can get them pretty dressy looking these days) and lightweight sweaters. When he was bigger, he covered my exposed stomach, and when he was smaller, I just covered my stomach with a burp cloth (I layed it across my stomach under my shirt before I lifted it to nurse him. I actually found it easier and more modest to do this than to use nursing shirts because I could let him attach under my shirt and then lift the shirt above his head once he started nursing.

MOTHERING MAGAZINE has many ads for nursing items. The LaLeche League website shows the line that they now are starting to carry - www.llli.org. Good for you for making a commitment to breastfeed. It is the very best thing you can do!!

I liked layering a cami under my t shirts best. Get the adjustable ones and wear them a little low so you can just pull it down under your shirt. I felt it showed less as well. Some of my nursing shirts looked really funny.

I'd also suggest looking in resale stores. I found a few great nursing tops there. Cheaper than the ones I got on line.

Good luck, and great job! A. H
