Your Favorite Breastfeeding Tops?

Hi there,

I'm looking for some breastfeeding tops and dresses. You know, the kinds that you can easily and discreetly breastfeed in? Where have you found good ones? I have a few tops from H&M, but they aren't great. Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Thanks!

WOW! thanks for all of the suggestions already! The tank tops don't actually work for me because I wear the Moby Wrap when we're out so pulling a shirt up doesn't work very well

What can I do next?

It's a long time ago for me as well, but I invested in a couple tops from Motherwear.com and breastfed my babies anytime and anywhere. So convenient and easy!

I love the breastfeeding tank tops from Target. I have several and I just wear them under my regular shirts so when I feed the baby I just pull up my regular shirt and undo the tank-top. This way I stay really covered on top and on bottom. I don't even use a blanket or nursing cover.

I never found nursing tops all that convenient, although I had two from Motherhood that pulled up with a liner with nursing slits in it--that happened to be a lifesaver when I was taking a MAT course through the Red Cross and was informed we wouldn't be taking breaks but I could pump in the back of the room. SO glad I was wearing a discreet top! :)

Otherwise, I loved the side-sling nursing camis (sounds like those aren't convenient for you) and any kind of t-shirt under a cardigan since the cardigan covered everything my babies didn't and I didn't mind just pulling my top up. This time around I'm trying some basic crossover neckline tops (tried them on pregnant and they do pull down easily) that I got from Victoria's Secret (just a 3/4 sleeve crossover/wrap-style tee) and some from Target. Motherwear.com also has really nice looking nursing tops and PJs and they have good sales, but I've never actually tried their tops.

Hmmm...I don't know if you would consider this a top but I love my Bravado nursing tanks.
I can be pretty discreet wearing a stretchy pull over top over the tank. :)

I wear a mobi as well. I have found that the best is a spaghetti strap tank with a shelf bra. Kohl's carries them. Drop one of the straps and breast feed. I also put jackets and shirts on over the mobi as if I get too warm then I will want to take it off but not disturb sleeping baby. If I am cold a assume baby is too so it needs to go over baby too. I wear all those pregnant button up shirts forever this way.

I like the nursing tank tops, worn underneath another top then you still have a layer covering your stomach when you pull the other one up! Japanese weekend nursing wear is super comfortable too.

I loved the Glamour Mom tanks too which I think you can still use with the Moby Wrap since they unclip from the top shoulder straps...you don't have to pull the tank up. Instead, you're basically pulling it down. They're great!

Glamour mom tanks are hands down the best nursing tanks. They are a bit pricey (around $45) but well worth the investment. They sell on line and at boutique's. Get one that has extra length. The regular ones are a little short. I slept in mine and lived in mine for months! They also don't stretch out like cheap tanks (Old Navy, etc.),.

I don't know if they are still on sale, but I just got a bunch of shirts at Old Navy that button down about 1/2 way so I can feed my daughter in the bjorn with a cover over us. There were a few different styles and they were all on sale for $7.50 last week. Good luck!

I was really happy with the glamourmom brand nursing long tanks. You can wear alone, but I normally wore things over them. Very comfy, and long length helped cover my post-baby belly for the time being. :)

It's been a LONG time since I've breast fed (7 years) but I LOVED the tops I got at Target and Motherhood maternity!

I had tops that tied under my breasts and crossed over - one of them was "billowy" and my boys heads fit nicely under it!!

I LOVED LOVED LOVED my Motherhood maternity bras - with the snaps on the top - no issues! No problems!!!
