I live in Des Plaines. Are there any particular area or suburbs that have nice decorations we can drive to see?

We've seen the downtown lights already.

What can I do next?

Rosemont has a great nativity with live animals and really neat decorations...just off Higgins and the Kennedy - next to Willow Creek Gym. You just drive up to the security gate and they let you in - the houses back there are usually really neat too.

I know Christmas has passed and now it is raining, but if it happens to snow again soon (decorations look prettier when snow is on the ground), there is a place in skokie, I think called the Towers. It is an area with very large homes and very elaborate Christmas decorations. We have not been out there this year, so I do not know what they have, but you can always keep it in mind for next year. It is near the edens exp.
