I have a son and a daughter who are crazy about Christmas lights. Instead of driving around looking for fun displays I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for areas near McHenry.
thanks!

Vernon Hills is amazing...we used to make the trip every year. Also, the Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva has a great display that you drive through. There's a house on Wonder Lake road on the left as you head toward the gas station from Rt.120 that used to have a TON of lights. They still have some, but not as many. Drive around the block so you can see the front of the house. And finally, Bull Valley Rd. by Schneider's Hill has a house with a BUNCH of reindeer everywhere...in the trees, etc..very cool! Happy holidays!!

Hello J.:
I am not responding to yr Xmas lights request, but inquiring about yr organic/grassfed meat business. My 6 yr old nephew who suffers from Addison's disease along with allergies has been gluten free and dairy free for sometime now. His allergies have improved some. My brother and sister-in-law household is almost 100% organic products and they hv recently starting buying grassfed meat but from somewhere in Michigan and its getting quite costly as far as shipping goes. I saw yr post and wondered where you are located and wanted to get some more info on your business. Thank You, K.

If you take 176 to Roberts Rd to Rawson Bridge (go R) Make the first right and stay to the right...there is an AWESOME house that has their lights to music. you tune your radio to a station. they have a donation box for food. I think they are only doing it Friday and Saturday nights. this is the Island Lake area.

I know this is a bit far for you but its worth the drive. In Pingree Grove there is a house where the guy synchronized the lights to his own radio station. Its called Twinkle Claus(I think) or Santa's Landing and you can even look at the website. We go several times and we even take other families and everyone loves it. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
