Hello friends, my 5 y/o had the most AMAZING kindergarten teacher, i LOVE her, not only is she the sweetest thing on earth but she also taught my daughter way beyond my expectations. My 5th grader's teacher and awesome too, she only had my daughter for about 4 months (i switched her out of a bad teacher's class) and in those 4 moths she brought her grades up from c's & d's to a's,b's and 1 c.I have never met a teacher so sure of what she can do with kids, so confident, so SO smart , she is the ASB & AVID teacher and she's just downright awesome. I'm very gratefull with both for all they've done for my girls....I'm just having a hard time putting it onto paper. I bought them each a hummingbird feeder w/nectar and thank you cards....any ideas?? TIA!

While my daughter was in your class, she has grown to become more confident in life, wealthy in mind and spirit, and most importantly excited about learning. Thank you for the time you took to spend with her this year. I know it has made a lasting impression on her to discover, learn, grow, appreciate, follow, lead and explore in the world around her.

(or something like that. I just wrote something similar to one of my son's teachers who I appreciated so much this year.)

Just tell them how grateful you are that they have changed your daughter's school experience from a negative one, into an extremely positive one. That it may well affect their entire school careers and beyond. And you are grateful.

That's what I would say, if I had switched my child's teacher in the situations you described.

Write it from your heart and tell her the same things you just told us. I'm sure that will be thanks enough.

Can you get your daughters to write a note as well? I love notes from my students at the end of the year, no matter how brief!

lol - you just said how great your child's teacher. Words like AWESOME, FABULOUS, EXCELLENT, would also express the moment. Ask your daughter to add something to the card too from her own words.
