What's a Good Activity for a Group of Moms and Toddlers/babies to Do Together?

I'm on meetup.com and I want to suggest a meeting for the members. The ages of kids range from older babies to younger toddlers and I'm wondering what a good activity would be to keep the kids engaged but allow the moms to get to know one another (as this would be our first meetup). Any suggestions? Thanks!

We usually meet at a local park, or a free splash pad. We all bring snacks too.

Parks are great. The Zimmer Museum in the miracle mile area is a lot of fun for the toddlers, as is Kidspace Museum in Pasadena.

Find parks with water play (Virginia Park and Douglas Park in West LA both have it).

Griffith Park has the LA Zoo, a carousel and Travel Town for train lovers.

Simple stuff like lunch at the park is what we do with our friends. Everyone brings their lunches and blankets and has a great time.

A park or an indoor playplace that has seating for the adults. Not like a McDonald's but a dedicated indoor playplace. Google indoor play areas near you. A lot of my neighbors and I took our kids to one near us and they really enjoyed it. Some can be just as fun for adults.
