Grover's Number Special (my son loved this at 3 but now it's too easy for him--he's 4 1/2.) $1 but well worth it! So fun.
Cut the rope, my son and I both like it.
Coloring, my son loves this, and it's the free version
Fruit Ninja, my son and I both have fun with this

I know it sounds silly but I love having a flashlight app. We just have a free one.

Hands down - Pandora - I love music and I love that it is free.
Also enjoy Fruit Ninja and can't be without my Pinterest ap. It is kind of a crappy ap, compared to the site, but I love scrolling through the "humor" section everymorning - gets me in the right frame of mind:)
Biggest waste of an ap - I got opti scan to view and access QR codes - don't waste your time or 99cents.

Angry Birds and Facebook!! iHeart Radio and Pandora is also good. I also like GasBuddy....you type in your zip code and it tells you the gas prices at all the local gas stations so you can find the cheapest one. I downloaded a bunch of racing games that my boys love too. While I was expecting last year, I used the babycenter app which was also awsome. Now I use one that sends me notifications each week as to what milestones my newborn is making!

When I got my first smartphone over a year ago I downloaded a Skip-Bo app. Recently, I had to have my phone wiped clean & re-install everything. This is no longer available & I've felt kind of lost ever since. :(

Solitaire and Block it. Fun games to have when you need to pass the time. Angry Birds for the kids. My hubby and I both have that on our phones ands it's great when the kids get restless. My biggest guilty pleasure....TMZ. It's a free app and just fun. Some celebs that they write about, I could care less about, but it really is a guilty pleasure. I have to say that TMZ really does their research and it's not just gossip. :) have fun

Ever note is amazing for grocery lists or any notes or lists you need to jot down to yourself. You can sync it between your phone and iPad or Droid pad or computer. My husband also shares it and can add things to the list during the day. Cool.

Voice Memo--use it to record/dictate a note to yourself when in a store or somewhere. Totally easier than typing in a note. (learned from a journalist friend).
