iPhone / iPod Touch Apps - What Do You Recommend?

I have a new iPod Touch and I LOVE it. But there are so many apps out there that it's hard to know what's good. So... if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, what apps do you have that you love? Any app suggestions are appreciated - games or useful apps. Also, if you use a grocery shopping app, which one is it and why do you like it? I know I want a grocery shopping app, but it's hard to decide which one.

FYI - I have wifi at my home and office, so I have access to the internet through my Touch almost constantly. Don't worry about suggesting apps that require the internet.

Hi S.!

I have an iPhone and kinda go app crazy. I am on my 9th page of apps so that is what about 144 apps. LOL

Here a few good ones:

FREE:

1. Bargin Bin: Tells you when apps are on sale or free!

2. Shazam: If you hear a song and want the title or artist (like when you are listening to the radio) you turn on this app and record for a few seconds of the song and it will tell you the artist, song title, album title etc and if you wanna buy from itunes.

3. Pandora Radio: Free radio. Best rated app for music/radio

4. Facebook/Myspace/Twitter Fon: If you are into the Social Networking.

5. Bills: Great to manage bills and when they are due. It even keeps record for when they are due the following month. I love this!

6. HOOK MMS: You can send 2 free picture texts a month.

7. Google: Enough said

8. Lose it! If you are watching weight. It counts calories you just put in what you ate through the lists it has restraunts etc and database and calculates it on its own. Tell you how long you it will take till goal weight etc.

9. Flixster: Movies app. Will check local theaters times etc

10. i.Tv: Has some tv shows like CW, CBS etc.

11. Big Oven, All Recipes: Great Recipe Apps

12. Urban Spoon, Around Me, Restraunts: Find restraunts and more around you.

13. What's On?/Tv.Com: Tv Listing for shows and if you have Directv you can download their app.

14. Check Please Lite (the free version): Calculates tipping by the percentage you choose and how many people if splitting.

15. Balance (Expense sheeting/Excel like)

16. Speed Type: Typing practice to make you better at the iTouch screen.

Cost:

1. In answer to your grocery. I reserched this and found that this one was the best rated all over (app store, internet reviews etc): Shopper $.99

2. iSendMMS: The best app to send photos to anyone no limit! Either .99 or 1.99

Have young Kids? All these were free or .99

1. Dress Chica: From Sprout dress the chicken

2. Kidtv: Has like Dora, Deigo, Sesame Street, Blues Clues. and plays a full episode.

3. KidArt: Same makers as above kid art though. Like Paint on the computer.

4. Kidtivities: A list of activities.

5. KidCamera: Same again but they take a pic and can create something to it.

6. IDoodle2Lite: Like paint.

If you want ideas for games etc. I have more! Let me know.

My favourite iPhone apps:

Utilities:
App sniper (this is my favourite by far - I try not to pay for many apps and this tells you when apps are on sale or free)
Bargain bin
AroundMe
Fox news
All recipes
Say where (use this all the time)
Shazam
One tap dial
Pandora

Games for me:
Sky burger (my fav)
Scoops (love this one too)
Link It
Box drop
Word warp
Flip it

Games for kids:
Dress your princess (hands down my daughters favorite app)
Preschool pals
FW animals (my 3 yr old son loves the animals & vehicles learning games)
FW vehicles
Fairies Lite (the full version looks coolbut I'm waiting until I can get it on sale)
Ferrari gt lite ( a car game that my son likes)
Suzy dress up
Make a Martian

Just to let you know... I don't like to spend a lot if any money on apps. Many of these apps cost money. I paid full price for some but for the most part I watch the sales on App Sniper or Bargain Bin and get the apps when they are on sale or free.

Let me know of you have any questions!

I love Grocery IQ, once I got my "favorites" in there it was so simple and easy to use, most of my favorites were already in the data base but it is so helpful... I even put in some basic non grocery items like AC filter sizes or printer ink cartridge #, kids current sizes in case I find a great deal somewhere, and other assorted things that I may need at a store so even if I can't get them at the grocery store I still have the info handy for when I need it (or when my hubby calls and asks me to pick up filters while I'm out...)

Great question BTW I'll have to check out some of the suggestions given!!
