my daughter loves to pick out her cereal every morning. I buy the variety pack of small boxes of cereal and they also have varety packs of oatmeal. She looks forward to picking out what she wants. Then I usually give her a fruit cup or apple slices with a cup of milk. Breakfast can be the same as long as they are eating.

All great suggestions. There is also apple butter for toast, applesauce, raisins, and a tortilla or veggies with hummus. Kids also love panckaes and waffles - there are recipes all over the web that are eggless or use a substitute. One little girl I knew loved salad for breakfast.

Some standards for my little one: yogurt, mashed potatoes (my daughter's current favorite breakfast), cheese sandwich, sliced fruit, milk, toast with butter and cinnamon and sugar, Jenny-o turkey hotdogs, cheese sticks. Two yr olds are funny about food aren't they?

Oatmeal, other hot cereal
Whole grain cold cereals
Yogurt with chopped fresh fruit
Whole grain pancakes, waffles or french toast
Bagels and cream cheese/almond butter/sunflower butter/hummus
Quinoa, Farro, brown rice with milk and cinnamon or cardamon and raisins
Fruit - strawberries, oranges, grapes, grapefruit, melon, apples, pears, mangoes, pineapple (really anything)

She can eat anything you eat for breakfast (coffee excepted of course).

We try for a whole grain, fruit, +/- protein and milk at each breakfast. We generally cook a hot breakfast on weekends and make enough french toast/pancakes/crepes etc to freeze. Then we can just pop them out on a weekday and warm up in the toaster.

Eggs, toast and cereal are breakfast standards but you can eat anything for breakfast. I got used to eating breakfast foods at night and dinner foods in the morning when I worked graveyard. lol It's just food.

I like Lynn E.'s list of foods. You could also use egg substitute to make scrambled "eggs."

Hot or cold cereal, waffles, pancakes, cheese sandwich, fruit/yogurt/cheese, turkey/cheese rollup. By why are you stressing? Is she a very fussy eater? Some parents have this idea that if you do not give your child a huge variety, a different breakfast every day of the week, you're not a good mom. Your child does not need variety, she needs a healthy breakfast. You don't need tons of breakfast ideas. Find a couple of breakfasts she likes, and serve them on a rotating basis, 2 or 3 things. This is not something to make yourself crazy over.

Greek Yogurt, pita bread, sliced fruit and almonds or walnuts if she can eat them. She can dip the pita in the Greek yogurt. If you try it and she doesn't like the yogurt put just a dash of salt in it. It will change the taste. This is what we ate in the Middle East and in Europe and loved it. You can buy Greek yogurt at Kroger but if you want an even better kind send me a message and I will tell you where there are lots of places in Richardson where you can get these types of food and freshly baked pita.

If you don't want the yogurt, try sliced fruit, cheese and pita or green, yellow and red bell pepper with hummus.

I'm not a vegetarian so I don't know any recipes but search for egg free breakfast online and tons of vegetarian recipes without egg pop up.

Try the Kosher bakery at Tom Thumb at Coit and Campbell in Richardson. They have baked goods without egg, just ask them.

I would say walk up and down the cereal isle to get some ideas. There are thousands of things on those isles that don't contain peanuts or eggs.

We do a lot of hot cereals in the winter and cold cereal in the summer. Pop tarts are yummy and granola bars can be very nutritious if you read the labels.

My 7 yo son is also allergic to the same. I use the Whole Foods brand or Arrowhead Mills pancake mix and dont add egg. I also make quaker oat oatmeal, hash browns, bacon, sausage and biscuits. Yogurt smoothies are also good. You can also go to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network website for recipes. We see Dr. Drew Byrd at Childrens Medical Center. He runs the Food Allergy Clinic. They are also a great source for information. Hope this helps!

There are different kinds of butters out there. almond butter on a banana or apple slices. Any of the butters on waffles. Keep putting different things in front of her. Offer them to her and leave them there for 30 minutes. If she doesn't eat put them in the fridge. If she is hungry before lunch place the items in front of her again. Give her the idea that she will eat what is in front of her or not eat at all. Kids are smart they will eventually figure it out and they wont starve. Be consistent and don't give in either!

My kids would go through phases. They will eat the same thing for breakfast for a week and then refuse it for months. Then they will eventually go back to it. Fruit for breakfast is great. She really needs to get some calcium if she won't have milk. Does she eat yogurt? I put the yogurt that comes in a tube in the freezer. I let it thaw for a few minutes, but the kids eat it frozen. They call it treat yogurt and love it. I also make pumpkin pancakes with whole wheat flour and flax seed. They are really good and don't taste healthy. My kids also like eggos. They will eat them right out of the toaster with no syrup. More ideas- pumpkin muffins, banana chocolate chips muffins, zucchini bread...... I can send you recipes if you would like. Just message me.

Have you tried flavored milk to see if she'll drink that? My daughter went through the same thing at the same age, only associating milk with a bottle. But she loved strawberry or chocolate milk. I made it myself with syrups and didn't put as much flavoring in as when you buy it already made. Then over a period of about 4 months, I slowly used less and less so that she didn't notice. Then she was used to the milk and never complained. She has been a big milk drinker ever since.
