I am Going to create a photo book online for my parents for Christmas of our family photos. There are so many sites that do this now, snapfish is one that comes to mind. I am trying to decide which one to use. What sites did you use and why? Cost is a factor, so looking for the best value affordable! Thanks for your help in advance, Happy Holidays!

I just used snapfish and was happy enough with the quality and price. BTW, they extended their cyber sale to Dec. 3 for half off everything site-wide. The code is CYBER50

I have heard that Shutterfly is also very nice (maybe even better prints).

I've ordered dozens of things from Snapfish. In fact, last weekend I ordered several Christmas presents & our cards & used their 50% discount code: CYBER50. The quality has been top notch on everything I have ordered, and I have received a few things others made for me as well. Love Snapfish!!

Another site you can try is vistaprints.com. I've used them for many things over the years. Business cards, invitations (including my daughters wedding invitations), photo books, club tee-shirts. Often, they offer the first one (or first 10 invitations) free and all you pay is the shipping. The site is easy to use, too.

I've used both Shutterfly and Snapfish and both were excellent. Before you start, see who has the best coupons and includes free shipping. Then go with the best priced option.

Love Shutterfly! They just had a lot of great deals that ended yesterday, but I'm sure more are on the way.

Dear K. - We used snapfish, and had mixed results. We created a first year baby book for our DS to give as presents, and for our own keeping. if the photos were of poor quality (i.e. too dark, too blurry), snapfish couldn't correct them. To their credit, they reprinted and re-sent the books to us at no cost 2x, and gave us a refund on top of that. At the end of the day though, they don't have a quality control person to edit/ enhance the photos as necessary. I would have happily paid extra to have someone do the color balance and fix the dark/grainy pictures, but they don't have any such person.

just my two cents.
Good luck to you and yours

I swear by Shutterfly and there are always sales on photobooks. So put yours together and see if there is a sale. If not, if you can wait, there usually is one every week or two. I have about 30 books I've made (all our vacations, end of year books, bday parties etc...) They are so easy to do!

I've made many photo books online using Shutterfly and prefer them to the ones I have made at Walgreens.com and at Picaboo.com, both of which I only used because of a deal offered. Shutterfly is easy to use, often offers discounts, and the hardcover books are beautiful.

I lust used Snapfish. They had great online coupons that saved me big money. I got 6 5x7 photo books for under $40.00 that included s/h. And I got 5 4x6 flip books for $25 including s/h. I would look to see who has the best coupons and go that way but right this minute I'm loving Snapfish!

I made a coffee table book on BLURB-very easy to use but may be a bit more expensive than what you want. The quality is fantastic-we made our wedding album (a coffee table book) and books for family from this site. Good Luck!

My son has a Mac and did a great book of photos for my husband and me, using the Apple site. My neighbor is a graphic designer and did 2 books for her husband on Apple as well. Great quality and my son did it on his college student budget.

I have used Shutterfly, snapfish and Artscow.com - all of them have good deals most of the time, I know I have gotten a few books from Artscow and Shutterfly for free with the right code.... you'll have to look on the website and see who has what. I know with Artscow they gave me something like 5 free books just for signing up with them. The catch (yes, there's always a catch), they are in Hong Kong, so shipping takes a little longer, but still costs the same. The last book I ordered from them was $6.99 for shipping. that's all I paid for it. I think I just got an email for 5 more free books from them.
