Hello,
I am 5 months pregnant and over ther last week I have been experiencing severe pain in me arms. First is was my right arm and it lasted for several hours. I had no idea what was causing it. Eventually it went away. Two days later I had the same severe pain in my left arm. I could hardly stand it. The pain did go away but not for several hours. As I was talking to my friend of four kids she told me it was probably the baby sitting on a nerve that caused the pain. I never experienced this before with my two previous pregnancies. I wondered if any of you had and whay you did about it. I hope this won't be a reccuring thing for me.

What can I do next?

My husband is a chiropractor and he says that perhaps you have a disc herniation and the hormone release throughout your body has loosened some ligaments and this is possibly what you could be feeling. He recommends seeing a chiropractor-hope this helps and congrats!! We have 2 weeks to go on our bundle of joy =) (Although prayers for labor this week would be helpful, lol)

I had one of my babies sit on my sciatic nerve for days, it caused a lot of butt, lower back and leg pain but nothing in my arms. It's worth a call to your OB just to check if it's normal.

I second Crystal's answer. When I was pregnant, I had the worst back pain ever and I saw a chiropractor that specialized in pregnancy massage. It helped so much. They even have a hole place for your belly :D

I would say that is the siactic nerve...it can cause some of the most severe pain I have ever felt.
