Swim Lessons in Plano/ McKinney/ Allen/Frisco

My husband and I are seriously considering building a pool this Spring and if so, it will be ready by May. My daughter has been in the water with us at the community pool, but has not had formal swimming lessons yet. Any reccomendations for swimming lessons that are affordable and that we can start soon? My daughter does not always warm up to people easily so ideally I'd want some place where she will have the same teacher for each lesson and where it will be fun. I looked into the YMCA in Plano, but did not feel comfortable with a teenager teaching my child.

What can I do next?

Lifetime fitness does swim lesson for member and non-members. They just started a new program. There instutors have formal training and they have to be 17 or 18 I don't remember which but they are older. They have several programs for 4 year olds. You should check it out. I was glad I did.

Hey M.! McKinney High School has awesome swimming lessons! I coached there last year and watched the lessons take place. You will not be disappointed! Coach Serio heads up the swim lessons and does a GREAT job! You can call McKinney High School and they will put you through to Coach Serio.
Good Luck!!

Check out infantswim.com. We started using them when my son was 8 months old and he's 2 now and can swim by himself. Pretty neat!

What about Emler Swim school??? My oldest went there and they did a great job! The Plano location is at Park and Ohio (behind Firestone and Wendys). If I remember correctly they are super flexible with their hours. I think they have one every hour from open to close. Check out the website!
