I am looking like MAD for a mommy and me swim class for the under 18 mos. set, that is on the WEEKENDS. I've scoured Portland Parks and Rec for weekend classes, and it seems as though they like to discriminate against working mothers, as they offer a majority of their swimming and arts/crafts classes during the week only. I live in SE Pdx, and am preferring to stay on the East side of the river for any classes.

If your willing to travel to Gresham, Mt Hood Community College offers mommy and me swim classes for little ones, and on saturday to boot! They have a small pool, warm, like mid 80's I think and are reasonable priced. Give them a call or check them out on line. Good Luck!

Hi. Try Dolfun Swim Academy (http://www.dolfunswimacademy.com/index.html) They have a location in NE Portland. We took classes there with our daughter - 4 months old until she was over a year. Great instructors and the pool is nice and warm!

My son took Sunday the baby swim classes through PP&R earlier this spring, and I remember when I was looking there were several baby swim classes that met on the weekends. I would say just keep checking their schedule because maybe when new classes come out there'll be some weekend ones.
