Hi Moms

Does anyone do surveys for a work at home job? I always see it listed on the internet. Is it too good to be true?
Thanks
Trish

I tried a few and only ended up with tons of email from the sponsors. I don't think it's worth all the time you'll spend to find the ones that actually pay something.

The company I do work with now gives me $75 every time I sign someone up for $29.00 and show them how to shop on-line at a discount; getting their first $700 of products for only $350. I try to talk with a couple people a day who I think might be interested and I've been averaging about 5 people a month that I sign up. There are other ways to make money with them too.

I've done a few surveys from two places in Mokena. You can get put on their list and they will call you to see if you are available and qualify for the survey. I've done a few from and sampling carrot cake to trying on maternity cloths at Old Navy. My husband did one that he tried a McDonald sandwich and received $60. The first place to check out is Bryles (http://www.brylesresearch.com/home.asp) and the second is Q and M Research (www.qandm.com). You can register yourself on line at both websites. Hope this is of help.

Trisha & Toni,

Toni mentioned a place that you can do surveys in person to get paid. I have done this and it is very straightforward. If you fit the profile they are looking for for a particular survey, they will call you periodically and say "I have a survey on Tuesday night that pays $80 and lasts 90 minutes, are you available?" If you say yes, they will ask a few qualifying questions. You would show up at say, a hotel banquet room. 12-100 people would also be there for the survey. You may watch a video and fill out a survey about household products, or cars, or if it's a small group, you may sit around in a circle and talk about morning radio shows. It may last an hour or two (they will tell you ahead of time). When it's over they hand you an envelope with the cash (no tax), and you're done!

Clear View Research is a place that calls me a lot (Clearview could be one word). I never do them anymore because I have a toddler at home & hubby is usually on a trip. Actually they call my husband all the time, and myself once in awhile. He's a bit younger than me and possibly fits a different demographic.

Good luck. Go make some easy cash!

Have you considered getting involved in any focus groups? This is where you attend some sort of meeting where you may try a product or given an opinion on something and you get paid, often upwards of $100 a pop. Try going to www.chicago.craigslist.com and search for the key words "focus groups" There are currently several postings including one that reads "Women with Children." I've never actually done any of these myself, but a girlfriend of mine has done several. I imagine that there are companies out there that are more reputable than others and that offer more intresting topics and better payouts than others. Good luck!

I have been doing surveys over the internet for about 4 yrs now. Yes, many of them just enter you into a sweepstakes, but some of them pay you or you earn points. I have made about $100 a year cash on them, have been entered into tons of sweepstakes, have won some of them and have earn millions of points that are redeemable for just about anything. I get probably 10 surveys a day to do from various companies. I used to be religious about doing each of them, now I just pick and choose. And yes, most of them you have to qualify for. WOrking for a social science research co, where we do government studies, I know all too well how data can be skewed if you dont prequalify people..lightspeed is good, my points, surveyspot, natl opinion research to name a few...K.

I recently dove into the survey world!! I was skeptical at first only because it seems like a scam. Don't get me wrong, you do get a lot of SPAM mail. I just set up a new account with yahoo (it's free) and direct all my survey stuff there so it doesn't interfere with my personal email.

Hey I started 2 days ago (and I don't have much time to work on them except for about an hour or two at night). I have 2 boys (22 months and 5 yrs.) who keep me pretty busy during the day! So far I've made over $75 (in two days!!!) Hey, to me it's just extra money for me to go shopping or a night out with the girls!

Here's a few sites to check out:

Use my links to set up your own accounts, as I've learned this is the key to success with these paid survey sites. Once you become a member, you can then refer others and receive commissions off them. So,let's all help each other succeed at home!!!!!

Hi T. I did try the surveys for a short while. It filled my inbox with a lot of junk, I never got any cash, and with most of them you have to buy their product first. It's really NOT worth it.

I have been doing them for about 12 months. I only do ones that pay money (but there are never any I qualify for) or that earn points. In the past year, I have taken loads of surveys and have earnt a magazine subscrition. I don't think its worth it, to be honest!

T.,

I signed up to do these at work (my job can get pretty slow at times) and it's fun and all, but I've taken about 20-30 of them and NEVER received any money for them. All of them enter me into their $10,000 sweepstakes. There was one that guaranteed $30, but it was 90 minutes long and I can't sneak that amount of time in at work at one time. Lol.

Please let me know what you find, though. I had done some where you have to go in person and they all pay about $50 - 75 each. I can't remember the name of the place though (sorry). I'll edit my response if I can recall it.

Good luck.

T., as far as the online surveys go, there are very few that pay any money for surveys. I do a lot of surveys and usually just get entered in a contest or some other thing. The only place I've found that pays anything is Pinecone Research and they pay you $5 per survey that you complete, but I've only done 2 surveys in over a month. If you're interested, I can probably find the sign up link for you, just email me and let me know.

Hi T.,

If you find out anything about this please let me know. We all could use the extra money. As in the past few I heard about were scams, so pass the word along if you come across something legit.

Thanks
Scar

I see them all the time too. Wouldn't that be great if we could actually make a little extra cash for it? Sorry i am not much help but i actually am a part of a survey panel called zoompanel.com I do not recieve cash but points that you can redeem for lots of misc items. I have been doing their surveys since the beggining of the year. I will take 10 min a couple times a day to complete them. When my 3 year old is napping and my 8 year old is at school. I actually just redeemed some points and ordered a wonderful $30.00 book of " The real mother goose"....Sorry i could not help but free stuff for the kids can always help too. Good luck on your search.

Sincerely,

C. E.

Hi T.
Sorry I cannot be much help in the area of the surveys. However, I’m working on an interesting business project and need an associate that can meet some simple business requirements. This may or may not be something that you would be interested in or even fit into. But would you be receptive to looking at an attractive business venture outside of what you’re doing now? If so, are you available Wednesday at either 9pm or 10pm for a 30 minute overview? Of course, you won't have to leave your home...this is done over the telephone.

Thanks!
M.

I have also gotten on a few sites for surveys and have never been past the first stage to see qualify for the money part. I seem to always be entered for a chance to win money or prizes, but have never won. While some of the surveys can be fun, I have never made anything from them.
