I want to do something special for my husband. I am 34 weeks pregnant with our 3rd child. (Our oldest is almost 5 and soon to be middle child is 3.) This pregnancy has been more difficult for me, this time around I work 40+ hours in retail on my feet ALL day, EVERY day. With the other two kids, I worked 40 hours as well just in an office so the extent of standing and moving was to the fax machine or bathroom. So this time clearly being older, I am so extremely uncomfortable, my feet have been swelling for months, back spasms for weeks and of course just plain tired. My husband has been SO amazing helping with the kids, house, his work schedule (which is also crazy hours being in real estate), just everything. I want to do something special for him to show him how much I appreciate him and everything he does for us. Any ideas, big or small would be appreciated?

Thanks!!

What can I do next?

Does he like sporting events or something you can send him to with a guy friend? Get him some time off and let him blow off some steam? That plus a note saying how much you appreciate him seems nice. He sounds great!

How about home help after the baby is born so that you two can rest some? If you had someone coming in and cleaning the house and cooking, your hubby wouldn't have to do all of that for you. It would take a lot of stress off of him as well.

Good luck and congrats on the upcoming birth!

My husband likes those little desk calendars. I got him one and wrote on the back of every page some thing that I appreciated about him, or just a word that means something to us both. Or just "I Love you". Was personal and he really enjoys it. But, I must warn you, it took a long time :)

I wouldn't buy him something. Anyone can do that and the meaning gets lost after a short while. Kim's idea is fabulous. If you don't have the time to do that, write him a love letter so he can reread it anytime he wants. Then leave notes for him from time to time where he will find them. Your man needs to know you are still attracted to him, that you think he is a wonderful provider, husband and dad, that you are proud of what he does, and that you think of him all the time. These should be great hints of what kinds of things to put in the notes.

Congratulations! I hope you can find some rest.

I would think he might enjoy a guys night out before the fan expands.
Sounds like a great guy! Give him a night out & hold down the fort.
Good luck & speedy delivery!

how about sending him Edible Arrangements to work?

I would write him a letter, personally. And tell him how much I appreciate everything he has done....it hasn't gone unnoticed...then give him the biggest hug and kiss when he walks in the door.

Congrats on your pregnancy!! Sorry it's been harder!!!
