My daughter has been potty trained for almost 2 years - never had any accidents until the last 3-4 months. Now several times a week she wakes up in the middle of the night due to bedwetting. Nothing in her life has changed - same school, same routine, etc. Any ideas on how to curb this?

Bedwetting is a red flag. Your daughter may have a urinary tract infection that could be treated and fix the problem. You also might want to ask her about other issues that are facotrs for bedwettng such as someone touching that child inappropriately or maybe even scaring her. Is there something drastic that has changed in her life recently? It may not seem drastic to you, but could be "drastic" in her eyes. Do't want to scare you but, i************ t******* could be from another child or an adult, so talk to your child without any feelings of being upset and then let her know that you always want her to be safe and no one should touch her in her bathing suit areas. Practice what to do if something like this were ever to happen to her and how she can use her words without feeling bad about herself or threatened. My daughter had another chld touch her inappropriately (which is totally normal for kids that age, but still shocked the heck out of me) and she came forward to tell me, which then introduced the whole good touch/bad touch talk and keep talking to her about it. Or she could be bullied at her preschool or daycare if she goes to one by another child. Another adult may be talking to her more rough than she is used to and might be scared of that person. If this is happening you can always go tot he library and find movies and books about safety in general and good touch/bad touch. Good luck. I hope it is nothing serious!
Many people don't realize bed wetting can be caused by a bladder infection especially in little girls. I think you should take her to the doctor and just make sure, because her routine has not changed.
I had this same problem with my son (now 6) and daughter (3).
First, don't put them in pullups- personally I think this encourages them, they get comfortable with it. I bought plastic sheets to put under theirs and did a lot of laundry, on accident freenights- I rewarded them and made sure to encourage them. Mainly it's just a phase at least theirs was- their dad was active army and gone a lot so I think that contributed to it for them. You could try a sticker chart, and also just make sure she has nothing to drink before bed except maybe a small glass of water. Good Luck.
My son is now eight and still has accidents at night. I notice it most when he has been more active during the day and sleeps much deeper at night. I also limit liquid in the evening time. He has a normal drink with dinner, no caffeine, and just a sip before bed. I hope this helps.
You might check to make sure she doesn't have a bladder/urinary tract infection.

Are you sure she's not traumatized by something? Does she go to a babysitter or daycare? You never know what goes on when you are not around.
My son is 7 and still wets the bed irregularly, so sometimes it just happens cuz they are too tired to get up.
My oldest daughter use to wet the bed for a little while every time that she went through a growth spurt. For her it didn't last very long, just until her bladder caught up with her. Good luck!
