Stroller Help! - Oswego,IL

Has anyone had experience with the baby jogger city mini double stroller? We are considering getting it...but the price is outrageous! We have a 3 year old and a newborn on the way in a week or so. We are also considering a sit-n-stand but not sure what brand, or if our toddler would be very comfortable without a true seat to sit in. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Also, if anyone knows anyone selling a city mini double that would be great too!

What can I do next?

I don't know about the ones you mentioned, but I like my Phil & Ted's stroller. It is a great tandem stroller, though I don't think it is recommended for joking. It is great for newborns as you can lay them down, then eventually sit them up more and more, while my toddler (2.5 yrs old) also has her own seat. I have the Sport, which I don't see on their website now (just bought it last summer), but I would recommend the version up (maybe the Explorer?). They're not cheap ($400?), but I got my online on ebay for about $100 cheaper than in a store.

My daughter was almost 3 when my son was born and I thought a sit and stand would work, but it didn't. I returned it a week later for a side by side, maclaren. It was bulky and didn't push well at all. Finally I splurged and bought the baby jogger city mini double and I love it. My kids are now 3 and almost 6, and I still use it regularly. It pushes so easy and turns on a dime. Even with all the weight in there now i can still push it easily and it is a godsend when going anywhere with both kids. It has held up great and still looks almost new despite all the use. My kids are big and tall for their age and both still fit in it very well unlike the maclaren which was very small and cramped. It fits through any door, and is so easy to maneuver compared to any other double I have tried. I also bought the belly bar and holders for when the kids were little but now they just jump and in and out as needed and I don't use that anymore. I would highly recommend getting the baby jogger city mini double, it is an wonderful stroller. Sometimes you can find deals online, I bought mine from baby grand online when they were having a sale, but many baby places have sales, I think I got 20% off plus free shipping. I hope you can find one you can afford it is so worth it!

I had a sit and stand when my 2 oldest were stroller age and I loved it. My older one thought he was so cool that he could stand or sit. I have no experience with the other stroller. Good luck with the stroller hunt and the new baby!

I had a sit and stand when my second was born and my older one just turned 2. It was a good stroller but big and heavy (as are most doubles we looked at). We only used it less than a year. By the time my little one was one the sit and stand was no longer comfortable for her and my older one no longer used a stroller at all. He was mostly done by 2.5 and only tolerated the novelty of the sit and stand for a while.

We have one that our nanny used for our nanny share. I like it and it's not too big, which is great.

Try the website babyboutiqueoutlet.com. I just bought a baby jogger summit (which I love) for basically half the cost.
